Rachel Brice
Rachel Brice (born 15 June 1972) is a contemporary performer in Tribal Fusion style belly dance based in Portland, Oregon. She is the artistic director and choreography, choreographer for The Indigo Belly Dance Company and a frequent performer with the Bellydance Superstars. In June 2011 she opened her own dance studio in Portland, Oregon, called Studio Datura. There she hosts regular dance classes along with workshops from her 8 Elements™ Approach to Belly Dance training program. Biography A graduate of San Francisco State University, Brice performed and toured since 2002. A member of the Bellydance Superstars, she appeared on Bellydance Superstars DVDs, as well as television and radio appearances worldwide, most notably ''Live with Regis and Kelly'' in the US and ''Blue Peter'' in England. Belly dance (Egyptian Arabic: رقص بلدي, translated: Dance of the Country/Folk Dance, romanized: Raks/Raas Baladi) is a dance that originates in Egypt. It features movements of the hips and torso. It has evolved to take many different forms depending on the country and region, both in costume and dance style; with the Egyptian styles and costumes being the most recognized worldwide due to Egyptian cinema. Amar Gamal
Amar Gamal (born Teresa Infante c. 1975) is a Cuban bellydancer who grew up in Florida. Early life and education Gamal, born Teresa Infante, grew up in Miami where she learned to bellydance at the age of thirteen. At thirteen, she began performing with the Mid-Eastern Dance Exchange company, based in Miami Beach. One of her directors at the time was the well-known dancer, Tamalyn Dallal, who had inspired her when she was younger. Gamal went on to become the first dancer to audition with bellydancing techniques and be accepted at the New World School of the Arts' Performing Arts School. While a senior at the New World School of Arts, Gamal also taught dancing to young children. Miles Axe Copeland III (born May 2, 1944) is an American music and entertainment executive and former manager of The Police. Copeland later managed Sting's musical and acting career.
