Raasi (film)
''Raasi'' () is a 1997 Indian Tamil-language drama film directed by Muraliappas and produced by S. S. Chakravarthy. The film stars Ajith Kumar and Rambha with Prakash Raj and Vadivelu playing supporting roles. The film was released on 18 April 1997. The film also marks the only collaboration of Ajith and Rambha. Plot This film is about the family of Kumar (Ajith Kumar) and his Uncle (Rambha's father) (Bala Singh). The problem between two families start when Kumar is unable to spend too much money for an occasion in his uncle's family. Whether Kumar and Meena ( Rambha) get united after solving out all the problems forms the crux of the story. Ajith Kumar
Ajith Kumar (born 1 May 1971) is an Indian actor who works predominantly in Tamil films. To date, he has starred in over 60 films. His awards include four Vijay Awards, three Cinema Express Awards, three Filmfare Awards South and three Tamil Nadu State Film Awards. Kumarimuthu (20 December 1940 – 28 February 2016) was a Tamil film character actor, comedian and politician of the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK). He was known for his unique comical laugh. Hariharan (born 3 April 1955) is an Indian playback, bhajan and ghazal singer who predominantly sings in Tamil, Hindi and Telugu languages. Nagoor Babu, known by his stage name Mano, is an Indian playback singer, voice-over artist, actor, producer, television anchor and composer. Palani Bharathi is an Indian writer and lyricist who works in Tamil cinema. Early life Palani Bharathi was born in Karaikudi to Sami Palaniappan, a poet, and Kamala.
