Rockheim (also called ''Det nasjonale opplevelsessenteret for pop og rock'', The National Discovery Centre for Pop and Rock, and ''Det nasjonale museet for populærmusikk'', The National Museum for Popular Music) is Norway's national museum for popular music from the 1950s to the present. It is a division of Museene i Sør-Trøndelag (Sør-Trøndelag Museums) and is housed in a former grain warehouse in Trondheim. It opened in 2010; since 2013, the director has been Sissel Guttormsen. The museum also has a virtual presence, ''Virtuelle Rockheim'', which launched in 2009, and since 2011 musicians and groups have been chosen for the Rockheim Hall of Fame. Ronni Le Tekrø
Ronni Le Tekrø (born Rolf Ågrim Tekrø, 5 October 1963) is a Norwegian guitarist best known for playing with the Norwegian hard rock band TNT and as a solo guitarist cooperating with guitarists Terje Rypdal and Mads Eriksen as "N3". LeTekrø was born in Oslo but moved to Raufoss at a young age, and has lived there all his life except for the period between 1982 and 1985, when he lived in Trondheim. Le Tekrø sound Le Tekrø plays with an extremely accomplished technique. One of the big differences in his playing is that his guitar solos are usually a separate melody which can actually be hummed, similar to Neil Schon's solos in Journey songs. He has also the technical ability to play fast with his "machine gun technique", but he does so sparingly. Zakk Wylde is one of the more outspoken fans of Ronni. Alf Prøysen () (23 July 1914 – 23 November 1970) was a Norwegian author, poet, playwright, songwriter and musician. Prøysen was one of the most important Norwegian cultural personalities in the second half of the 20th century. He worked in several different media including books, newspapers and records. He also made significant contributions to music as well as to television and radio. He also wrote in the ''Arbeiderbladet'' from 1954 until his death. He was also noted for his series of books featuring ''Mrs. Pepperpot'' (Norwegian: ''Teskjekjerringa''). Jokke & Valentinerne
Joachim Nielsen (8 September 1964 – 17 October 2000), better known as Jokke, was a Norwegian rock musician and poet. He was the frontman of Norwegian rock band Jokke & Valentinerne, the brother of cartoonist Christopher Nielsen, and son of the artist John David Nielsen. He is considered to be one of the greatest songwriters in Norway. By the mid-1990s, Jokke had developed a heroin addiction, and had several stays at rehabilitation clinics. By the turn of the millennium, many of his close friends believed that he had conquered his addiction. However, he died suddenly of a heroin overdose in October 2000, aged 36. Åge Aleksandersen (born 21 March 1949 in Namsos, Norway) is a Norwegian singer, songwriter and guitarist. He is one of his country's best known singer/songwriters and musicians. Some of his most well known songs are "''Lys og varme''" (''Light and Warmth''), "''Fire pils og en pizza''" (''Four Pilseners and a Pizza'') and "''Rosalita''". He also wrote and performed the official song of the 1997 Nordic skiing World Championship (held in Trondheim) together with two other musicians from the region, Ulf Risnes and Bjarne Brøndbo and the Nidaros Cathedral Boys' Choir. A-ha (usually stylised as ''a-''h''a''; ) is a Norwegian synth-pop band formed in Oslo in 1982. Jahn Teigen (27 September 1949 – 24 February 2020) was a Norwegian singer, musician and comedian. Wenche Synnøve Myhre (born 15 February 1947), known in some countries as Wencke Myhre, is a Norwegian singer who has had a great number of hit songs since the 1960s in the Norwegian, Danish, German and Swedish markets and languages. Early career Myhre was born in Kjelsås, Oslo. She got her first recording contract with composer and producer Arne Bendiksen at the age of 13, after winning a talent contest staged by ''Verdens Gang'' newspaper at the Chat Noir theatre in Oslo in 1960. Robert Meyer
Robert Meyer (born October 2, 1945 in Oslo, Norway) is a Norwegian art photographer, professor, photo historian, collector, writer and publicist. He is the son of journalist Robert Castberg Meyer and homemaker Edel Nielsen; and brother of the industrial designer Terje Meyer. Biography In 1963 he became a professional photographer in the Norwegian National Criminal Investigation Service ("Kripos") in Oslo, and as a photojournalist in the newspaper Vårt Land, while freelancing for the weekly press. The year after he moved to Stockholm, where he studied photography under the artist Christer Strömholm at Fotoskolan at the University of Stockholm.
