RC Baho XIII
Racing Club Baho XIII who are more commonly known as RC Baho XIII are a semi-professional rugby league team based in the town of Baho in the region of Pyrenees-Orientales in southern France. The club compete in the Elite Two Championship which is the second tier rugby league competition in France. Their home ground is the Stade Municipal de Baho and they are coached by Didier Meynard. History During the mid eighties RC Baho XIII reached three consecutive National 2 now called National Division 1 finals. Losing the first one in season 84/85 against Palau XIII Broncos 15-24, they gained revenge in 1985/86 beating Palau XIII Broncos 34-20, then lost 6-7 against US Trentels XIII in 1987. Stade (), officially the Hanseatic City of Stade (german: Hansestadt Stade, nds, Hansestadt Stood) is a city in Lower Saxony in northern Germany. Palau XIII Broncos also known as Palau XIII or Palau Broncos are a professional rugby league team based in Palau-del-Vidre in the Occitanie region in the south of France. Villefranche XIII Aveyron
Villefranche XIII Aveyron are a semi-professional rugby league club based in Villefranche-de-Rouergue, Aveyron in southern France. Formed in 1950, they currently play in the Elite Two Championship. Their home stadium is the Stade Henri Lagarde. History The club was founded in 1950 under the name Villefranche XIII after the towns rugby union club Stade Villefranchois switched codes after several disagreements with the French rugby union authorities. On 8 January 1950 the club's president Andre Rotambourg applied to join the French rugby league and the club was accepted and began the following season in the amateur 2nd Division. In 1953 they lost the 2nd Division final 10-13 against Arcachon. Four years later they reached their only Coupe Falcou final but lost to Facture. Racing Club Albi XIII originally called Racing Club Albigeois XIII and more recently also known as Albi Tigers are a semi-professional rugby league team based in Albi in the Occitanie region in southern France. Formed in 1934 the club compete in the Elite One Championship the highest level of competition in France. They have won the French title on five occasions and the Lord Derby Cup once. Their current home stadium is Stade Mazicou. History RC Albi were one of the founder clubs of Rugby League in France indeed they were the second club formed after US Villeneuve in May 1934. Racing Club Lescure-Arthès XIII are a French Rugby league club based in Lescure-d'Albigeois, Tarn in the Midi-Pyrénées region. The club plays in the French Elite Two Championship. Founded in 1964 as a youth side, their home ground is the Stade Jean Vidal. History Racing Club Lescure XIII as they were originally called were founded in 1964 by school teacher Jean Carayon as a youth team. AS Corbeil Essonne XIII Spartiates are a French Rugby league club based in Essonnes, Paris in the Île-de-France region. The club plays in the Île-de-France regional league of the French National Division 2. History * It wasn't until 2009 that AS Corbeil XIII, as they were originally called, made an impact in French rugby league. U.S. Trentels XIII are a French Rugby league club based in Trentels, Lot-et-Garonne in the Aquitaine region. The club plays in the French National Division 1. Their home ground is the Stade de Lustrac. History Founded as Union Sportive Trentels XIII the club can count on only a brief spell during the 1980s as a successful period. In season 83/84 they reached and won the Federal Division now called the National Division 2 in the final they beat Paris XIII 15-10 thus earning promotion. Three years later they lifted the National 2 title, nowadays known as the National Division 1, when they beat RC Baho XIII in the final 7-6. In season 2011/12 the club reached the National Division 2 final losing to Le Soler XIII 12-23 but despite losing they were also promoted alongside their victors to the 3rd tier. National Division 1
The National Division 1 is the third tier of rugby league in France, below the Elite Two Championship and above the National Division 2. The season runs from September to April. From season 2012–13 the league was split into regions ''East'' and ''West'', each team plays each other in their regional league home and away with the top sides then meeting in a series of play-off matches resulting in a Grand Final. The winner can be promoted to ''Elite Two'' subject to having adequate finances and facilities. Occasionally if the winners aren't able to be promoted, or opt out, then the team finishing second could be promoted. History The league was first played for in 1949-50 under the title 2nd Division.
