RACSAM
RACSAM (Revista de la Real Academia de Ciencias Exactas, Físicas y Naturales, Series A Matemáticas, Journal of the Spanish Royal Academy of Sciences, Series A Mathematics) is the mathematical journal of the Spanish Royal Academy of Sciences published by Springer since 2011, with a periodicity of four issues per year. It publishes research papers in English, covering areas of Algebra, Applied Mathematics, Computational Sciences, Geometry and Topology, Mathematical Analysis, Statistics, and Operations Research. History RACSAM was founded in 2001 by the Mathematical Sciences Section of the Spanish Royal Academy of Sciences. Its first editor-in-chief was Prof. Jesús Ildefonso Díaz (2001-2005). It is a spin-off of the journal Revista de la Real Academia de Ciencias Exactas, Físicas y Naturales, founded in 1905, a generic journal covering physics, chemistry, and the natural sciences as well as mathematics. Jesús Ildefonso Díaz
Jesús Ildefonso Díaz is a Spanish mathematician who works in partial differential equations. He is a professor at Complutense University of Madrid (UCM) and a member of the Spanish Royal Academy of Sciences. Biography Díaz was born in Toledo, Spain on December 11, 1950. He graduated in mathematics from UCM in 1973, and obtained his PhD from the same university in 1976. His Ph.D. thesis advisors were Alberto Dou and Haïm Brezis. Career Díaz joined the faculty at UCM as an Associate Professor in Mathematical Analysis in 1978. He moved briefly to the University of Santander in 1980, before returning to UCM as a full professor in 1983. In 1998, he co-founded the journal ''Revista Matemática de la UCM'' and served on its editorial board from 1988 to 1995. He founded the Department of Applied Mathematics at the Facultad de Matemáticas of UCM in the early 1980s and led it for several years. Hybrid Open Access Journal
A hybrid open-access journal is a subscription journal in which some of the articles are open access. This status typically requires the payment of a publication fee (also called an article processing charge or APC) to the publisher in order to publish an article open access, in addition to the continued payment of subscriptions to access all other content. Strictly speaking, the term "hybrid open-access journal" is incorrect, possibly misleading, as using the same logic such journals could also be called "hybrid subscription journals".
