Qazi Ashfaq
Qazi Ashfaq (12 December 1967 – 13 November 2001) was a Pakistani footballer who played as a forward. Considered one of the major Pakistani footballers in the 1990s, he was praised for his skill, speed, and leadership. He was the author of the starter goal in the final against Maldives, which saw Pakistan retain their second title in the 1991 South Asian Games. Early life Ashfaq was born on 12 December 1967 in Hassan Abdal, in the Attock district of Pakistan, with his family originally belonging from the North Western Frontier Province. Club career Ashfaq initially played for Wohaib FC until joining Punjab, where he won the National Football Championship and played in the 1989–90 Asian Club Championship. The 1991 Asian Club Championship was the 11th edition of the annual Asian club football competition hosted by Asian Football Confederation. 1993 South Asian Association Of Regional Co-operation Gold Cup
The 1993 South Asian Association for Regional Co-operation Gold Cup was the 1st South Asian Football Federation Cup, held in Lahore, Pakistan (at Railway Stadium) between 16 July 1993 and 23 July 1993. The countries that competed in this tournament were India, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka. Additionally, a Pakistan Junior team participated under the name of Pakistan White. However, their matches were not part of the tournament. This tournament was played as a league where the team which gets the highest points wins the competition. Mohammad Nauman Khan
Lt. Col. (R) Mohammad Nauman Khan (born 4 February 1968) is a Pakistani former footballer who played as a forward. A former captain of the national team, Nauman was the author of the last goal in the final against Maldives, which saw Pakistan retain their second title in the 1991 South Asian Games. He also captained Pakistan Army, winning the National Football Championship title in 1993 and 1995. He also served as a Lieutenant Colonel in the Pakistan Army. Early life Nauman was born on 4 February 1968, in the Malakand Agency in Pakistan. He hailed from the Dheri Alladand village. He started playing at a young age in school, and later in a local club called Shaheen Football Club around 1984. After finishing matric, he joined Islamia College University in Peshawar where he joined the college football club. The Asian Football Confederation's Pre-Olympic Tournament was held from 20 May 1995 to 27 March 1996.
