Baoding (), formerly known as Baozhou and Qingyuan, is a prefecture-level city in central Hebei province, approximately southwest of Beijing. As of the 2010 census, Baoding City had 11,194,382 inhabitants out of which 2,176,857 lived in the built-up (''or metro'') area made of 4 out of 5 urban districts: Lianchi, Jingxiu, Qingyuan and Mancheng largely being conurbated, on . Beiyue Temple
Beiyue Temple () is a Taoist temple located in Quyang, Hebei Province, China. The temple was used to make sacrifices to Mount Heng by the emperors of the Song dynasty while the mountain was occupied by the Liao dynasty. The Dening Hall of the temple is the largest, earliest and one of the most important extant wooden buildings built in the Yuan dynasty.Steinhardt (1998), 69.Zhao and Liang (2008), 114. The temple also contains three gates, an octagonal pavilion and many ancient stelae. History The Beiyue Temple was first established either during the Northern Wei dynasty (386-584) or the Tang dynasty (618-907), but the site may have been in use as early as the 2nd century BCE of the Han dynasty. The temple has been rebuilt twice, first in 991 after having been destroyed by the Khitan during the 950s, and then in 1270. Yangping, Quyang County
Yangping () is a town in Quyang County, Hebei, China. It is located in the south of the county, from the county seat. In 1961 it was formed as a commune (), and in 1985, the commune was abolished and turned into a township (Yangping Township; 羊平乡). Finally, in 1991, it was renamed as a town and remains so today. The primary industries in the area are engraving and plate processing, while the main agricultural products are wheat and corn. Hebei or , (; alternately Hopeh) is a northern province of China. Hebei is China's sixth most populous province, with over 75 million people. Shijiazhuang is the capital city.
