Quelentaro
Quelentaro, previously Conjunto Quelentaro, was a Chilean folk music group founded in 1960 by brothers Eduardo and Gastón Guzmán. Original members also included José Leppe, Valericio Leppe, Eladio López and Arinaldo Álvarez. ''Cesante'' is an album from the Chilean musical group Quelentaro, Duo Quelentaro. It was released in 1972 on the EMI Odeón Chile label (catalog no. LDC 36789). Gastón Guzmán (singer-songwriter)
Gastón Guzmán Muñoz (c. 1937 - August 28, 2019) was a Chilean singer-songwriter. A native of Angol, Chile, he was a founder, with his brother Eduardo (1940-2012), of the Chilean musical group, Quelentaro. Quelentaro recorded approximately 20 albums, telling stories, usually in the first person perspective, about the lives of workers, peasants, students, women, and settlers. In 2015, he was honored with the designation as a fundamental figure of Chilean music. ''Huella campesina'' is the second album from the Chilean musical group Conjunto Quelentaro. It was released in 1968 on the EMI Odeón Chile label (catalog no. LDC 35057). The members who participated in the album are Gastón Guzmán Gastón Guzmán Huerta (August 26, 1932 – January 12, 2016), a Mexican mycologist and anthropologist, was an authority on the genus ''Psilocybe''. Career He was born in Xalapa, Veracruz, in 1932. His interest in mycology began in 1955 when as ..., Eduardo Guzmán, Valericio Leppe, Eladio López and Arinaldo Álvarez. The entirety of Side A is an 18-minute track, "Coplas a don Manuel Jesús", dedicated by the Guzmán brothers to their father and the hard life of peasants. In the album's liner notes, R.
