Route 220 is a provincial highway located in the Estrie region of Quebec. The highway runs from Sainte-Anne-de-la-Rochelle at the junction of Route 243 and ends west of downtown Sherbrooke at Autoroute 410. The road connects the northern section of the Mont Orford Park. Estrie
Estrie () is an administrative region of Quebec that comprises the Eastern Townships. ''Estrie'', a French neologism, was coined as a derivative of ''est'', "east". Originally settled by anglophones, today it is about 90 per cent francophone. Anglophones are concentrated in Lennoxville, home of the region's only English-speaking university, Bishop's University. The Eastern Townships School Board runs 20 elementary schools, three high schools, and a learning centre. The region originally consisted of 6 RCM's. Quebec Route 243
Route 243 is a north/south highway on the south shore of the Saint Lawrence River. Its northern terminus is in Saint-Félix-de-Kingsey at the junction of Route 255 and its southern terminus is in the township of Potton where it crosses the Canada–US border at the North Troy–Highwater Border Crossing into Vermont and becomes Vermont Route 243. Route 243 is not a busy highway as it does not go through big towns. Quebec Autoroute 410
Autoroute 410 (or A-410) is a short peri-urban multilane highway in Sherbrooke, Quebec. It is currently a branch from Autoroute 10 (Autoroute des Cantons-de-l'Est) to its terminus east of Lennoxville. The road was named for Jacques O'Bready, the former mayor of Sherbrooke and president of the Commission municipale du Québec, in March 2007. Before then, the road was known as the Autoroute University. History The initial segment was opened from A-10 to Boulevard Bourque ( Route 112) in 1971 as a two-lane freeway. The route was opened to Boulevard de l'Université in 1978, and the entire A-410 became a 4-lane divided highway in 1981. In May 2009, work started on Phase 1 of the A-410 extension to Lennoxville. Orford, Quebec
Orford is a township municipality of about 5,000 people in Memphrémagog Regional County Municipality in the Estrie region of Quebec, Canada. Orford's main attraction is its ski resort on Mount Orford, attracting thousands of people every winter. Orford is well known for the Mont-Orford National Park. The park has thousands of acres of forest and two major lakes, Stukley and Fraser. Cherry river runs through the park and ends up in Lake Memphremagog.
