Quadri Aruna
Quadri Akinade Aruna (born 9 August 1988, in Oyo, Nigeria) is a professional Nigeria table tennis player. He competed for Nigeria at the 2012 Summer Olympics and 2016 Summer Olympics, reaching the quarter-finals in the latter competition. He is the first African player to be ranked in the top 10 in World Table Tennis. At the World Cup 2014, he reached the quarter-finals in the Men's Singles competition. In the 2017 ITTF World Challenge Bulgaria Open, he advanced to the semi-finals, where he was defeated in a tight match by the eventual winner Dimitrij Ovtcharov. Aruna is known for his forehand-oriented playing style, which gets him many winners. He is a Gewo-sponsored player. Oyo, Nigeria
Oyo is an ancient city in Oyo State, Nigeria. Omar Assar (born 22 July 1991 in Desouk) is an Egyptian table tennis player. He won silver in singles and gold in team play at the 2011 Arab Games in Doha. Ma Long (; born 20 October 1988) is a Chinese table tennis player and the reigning Olympic singles champion. Widely regarded as the greatest table tennis player of all time, he is the first and only male player to complete a career Double Grand Slam as the Olympic gold medalist in men's singles in 2016 and 2020. Truls Carl Eric Möregårdh (; born 16 February 2002) is a Swedish table tennis player. He won bronze with the Swedish team at the World Team Table Tennis Championships in 2018, as well as at the 2019 European Table Tennis Championships. Olufunke Oshonaike, also known as Funke Oshonaike (born 28 April 1974) is a professional Nigeria table tennis player based in Hamburg, Germany. She competed for Nigeria at the 2012 Summer Olympics. Monday Merotohun (born 2 November 1977 in Ado-Odo, Ogun) is a Nigerian table tennis player. Playing with his partner Segun Toriola, Merotohun defeated Egypt's El-sayed Lashin and Ahmed Saleh for the gold medal in the men's doubles at the 2007 All-Africa Games in Algiers, Algeria.
