Omar Assar
Omar Assar (born 22 July 1991 in Desouk) is an Egyptian table tennis player. He won silver in singles and gold in team play at the 2011 Arab Games in Doha. He also competed at the 2012 and 2016 Summer Olympics in the Men's singles, but was defeated in the second round on both occasions. Career 2012 Olympics At the 2012 Summer Olympics Assar competed in the men's singles, where he lost in the second round to Panagiotis Gionis, and the men's team event, where Egypt lost in the first round to Austria. 2016 Olympics At the 2016 Summer Olympics Assar competed in the men's singles only. He lost in the second round again, this time narrowly losing 3–4 to Lei Kou of Ukraine. Desouk
Desouk ( ar, دسوق, ) is a city in northern Egypt. Located 80 km east of Alexandria, in the Kafr El Sheikh Governorate and had a population of 137,660 inhabitants as of 2011. It is bordered to the west by the Beheira Governorate. Desouk dates back to at least c. 3200 BC and was part of the ancient city of Buto before the unification of Upper and Lower Egypt. From 1250 to 1517, the city of Desouk was part of the Gharbia province. From 1798 to 1801, it was part of the now-defunct Rosetta province. Wong Chun-ting (; born 7 September 1991) is a Hong Kong table tennis player. He won his first doubles title on the ITTF World Tour in 2012 and won another three doubles titles in 2014. In 2015, he won a bronze medal in mixed doubles event with Doo Hoi Kem at the World Championships. In 2016, he won a bronze medal in the singles event at the Men's World Cup. The mixed doubles table tennis event was part of the table tennis programme at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo. The event took place from 24 July to 26 July 2021 at Tokyo Metropolitan Gymnasium. Quadri Akinade Aruna (born 9 August 1988, in Oyo, Nigeria) is a professional Nigeria table tennis player. He competed for Nigeria at the 2012 Summer Olympics and 2016 Summer Olympics, reaching the quarter-finals in the latter competition. He is the first African player to be ranked in the top 10 in World Table Tennis. At the World Cup 2014, he reached the quarter-finals in the Men's Singles competition. Galyna Volodymyrivna "Galia" Dvorak Khasanova ( uk, Галина Володимирівна Дворжака Хасанова; born 1 April 1988) is a Spanish table tennis player.
