Olufunke Oshonaike
Olufunke Oshonaike, also known as Funke Oshonaike (born 28 April 1974) is a professional Nigeria table tennis player based in Hamburg, Germany. She competed for Nigeria at the 2012 Summer Olympics. Oshonaike started her playing career on a street called Akeju Street in Shomolu, Lagos, in the early 1980s while very young. She was a spectacle each time she played because she was very small and used to amaze people with her skill at that early age. She attended Community Primary School, now known as Ola-Olu Primary School, Agunbiade, Shomolu, Lagos. While in primary 4, she won a competition for the school and was honoured by the Headmaster of the school, Mr G.O. Taiwo, on the assembly ground in front of her schoolmates. Quadri Akinade Aruna (born 9 August 1988, in Oyo, Nigeria) is a professional Nigeria table tennis player. He competed for Nigeria at the 2012 Summer Olympics and 2016 Summer Olympics, reaching the quarter-finals in the latter competition. He is the first African player to be ranked in the top 10 in World Table Tennis. At the World Cup 2014, he reached the quarter-finals in the Men's Singles competition. In the 2017 ITTF World Challenge Bulgaria Open, he advanced to the semi-finals, where he was defeated in a tight match by the eventual winner Dimitrij Ovtcharov. Odunayo Folasade Adekuoroye (born 10 December 1993) is a Nigerian freestyle wrestler. She competed in the women's freestyle 53 kg event at the 2014 Commonwealth Games where she won the gold medal and at the 2015 World Wrestling Championships where she won a bronze medal.
