Qi Qi (host)
Qi Qi (; born Lim Yi Chyi ) is a Singaporean television host and radio deejay. She was prominently a full-time Mediacorp host from 2003 to 2017 but continues to be a radio deejay. Biography Lim graduated economics from George Mason University. Lin (; ) is the Mandarin romanization of the Chinese surname written 林. It is also used in Taiwan, Japan, Korea, Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, Vietnam, and Cambodia. The Star Awards (Chinese: 红星大奖) are awards for artistic and technical merit in the media organisation Mediacorp of Singapore where Mediacorp recognises entertainers under their employment for outstanding performances of the year. The awards are given annually in a ceremony. The various category winners are awarded a trophy, with initial designs featuring various star shapes. The star was subsequently removed and the trophy is designed as a S shaped column, depicting the star. History The 1st Star Awards presentation was held on 26 February 1994, took place at the Caldecott Broadcast Centre, MediaCorp TV Theatre with an audience of about 500 people. There have no other pre-show and post-awards ceremony held in that year. Star Awards 2013 (Chinese: 红星大奖 2013) was a double television award ceremony held in Singapore. It is part of the annual Star Awards organised by MediaCorp for the two free-to-air channels, MediaCorp Channel 8 and MediaCorp Channel U. Star Awards 2013 was broadcast live on Channel 8, on 21 April 2013 and 28 April 2013. The first ceremony was held at the MediaCorp TV Theatre while the second ceremony was held at the Marina Bay Sands. The ceremonies were also broadcast on 8 International and the second ceremony on Astro AEC & Astro Quan Jia HD for the first time in HD. As with the previous three years, viewers were able to catch the presentation of the Professional awards (given out to backstage crew and scriptwriters) on Channel 8. History The show replaced the current weekday broadcast of ''Singapore Today'' as well as half of the 7.00pm drama timeslot, airing weekdays from 6.30pm, premiering together with socio-drama , ''Healing Hands'' at 7.30pm. A repeat telecast of "Crosstalks" and the topic of the day will also be available the next weekday, 7.30am to 8.00am. Hello Singapore ended its broadcast at Caldecott Hill on 10 March 2017. On 13 March 2017, it was then moved to Mediacorp Campus at 1 Stars Avenue.
