Qaren
Qaren ( fa, قارن) is present in the Shahnameh during the period of Fereydoun. He is alongside gladiators, such as Nariman, Shapur, Nastooh, Shidoosh and Shirvy. All of these fighters are involved in the battle of Manuchehr because of Kane Iraj. Governance Qaren Qaren was the ruler of Ray during the time of Nowzar. One of the highlights of that period is the Iran-Turan war. Shapur, Nastooh, Talaman and Qaren were allies of Nowzar in this war. But because of the defeat that came from the Shapur faction, the capital of Nowzar was besieged. The primary ally of Nowzar and the commander of the Iranian army was Qaren. Qarenvand Dynasty
The Qarinvand dynasty (also spelled Karenvand and Qarenvand), or simply the Karenids, was an Iranian dynasty that ruled in parts of Tabaristan ( Mazandaran) in what is now northern Iran from the 550s until the 11th-century. They considered themselves as the inheritors of the Dabuyid dynasty, and were known by their titles of ''Gilgilan'' and ''Ispahbadh''. They were descended from Sukhra, a Parthian nobleman from the House of Karen, who was the ''de facto'' ruler of the Sasanian Empire from 484 to 493. Shahnameh
The ''Shahnameh'' or ''Shahnama'' ( fa, شاهنامه, Šāhnāme, lit=The Book of Kings, ) is a long epic poem written by the Persian poet Ferdowsi between c. 977 and 1010 CE and is the national epic of Greater Iran. Consisting of some 50,000 "distichs" or couplets (two-line verses), the ''Shahnameh'' is one of the world's longest epic poems. Pishdadian Dynasty
The Pishdadian dynasty ( fa, دودمان پیشدادیان) is a mythical line of primordial kings featured in Zoroastrian belief and Persian mythology, who are presented in legend as originally rulers of the world but whose realm was eventually limited to ''Ērānshahr'' or Greater Iran. Although there are scattered references to them in the Zoroastrian scriptures the Avesta and later Pahlavi literature, it is through the 11th century Iranian national epic, the ''Shahnameh'', that the canonical form of their legends is known. From the 9th century, Muslim writers, notably Tabari, re-told many of the Pishdadian legends in prose histories and other works. Shideh (Shahnameh)
Shideh () is the son of the Afrasiab King Turan in Shahnameh. He was the last time to appear in the Great War and was the first to enter the battlefield with the Iranians and the Kay khosrow and was destroyed by the Kay khosrow. Kay Khosrow was Shideh's maternal uncle.There is an Iranian character named Shideh in Shahnameh who is the ancestor of Manuchehr. Bahram (Shahnameh)
Bahram is an Iranian hero in Shahnameh, the national epic of Greater Iran. He is son of Goudarz and brother of Rohham, Giv and Hojir. In the story of Siavash, he and Zange-ye Shavaran are Siavash's counselors. They unsuccessfully try to convince Siavash not to go to Turan. When Siavash goes to Turan and abandons Iranian army, Bahram is put in command of the Iranian army until the arrival of Tous. His most important adventure is in the story of Farud, where he fights with Turanian army along with other Iranian heroes . Tur (Shahnameh)
Tur (; fa, تور, ) is a character in the Persian epic Shahnameh. He is the second son of the legendary Iranian king Fereydun and brother of both Salm and Iraj. His name, meaning "brave", was given to him by his father when the young prince bravely fights the dragon that had attacked him and his brothers. When Fereydun divides his empire among his sons, he gives Turkistan and China to his second son Tur. This is the beginning of the nation of Turan, the neighbor and rival of the Iranians.
