Porcelain Tour
The Porcelain Tour was a 19 date concert tour by Matt Cardle in support of his 2013 album ''Porcelain''. It took place over Ireland and the UK through April 2014, ending in Telford on 25 April. Background The tour was announced on 30 October 2013, with tickets on general sale on 4 November 2013. The tour began on 1 April 2014 in Belfast, followed by one date in Ireland then moving to Scotland and England. Cardle played guitar and was backed by a live band. He was joined by Melanie C on three shows to perform their duet Loving You. Reception Joe Hoffman of The Upcoming gave 5 out of 5 stars for the show saying "He is an unbelievable musical talent, and he did not fail to bring it all to a sold out show last night at Shepherd’s Bush Empire" and "Cardle’s voice is incredible, with a falsetto that can send shivers down your spine." Matt Cardle
Matthew Sheridan Cardle (born 15 April 1983) is an English pop singer. He was born in Southampton and grew up in Halstead, Essex. Cardle has been involved in music since his early teens and has been a member of two different bands; Darwyn and Seven Summers. Cardle rose to fame after winning the seventh series of ''The X Factor'', and received a £1 million recording contract with Syco Music and later signed a deal with Columbia Records. Following Cardle's victory on ''The X Factor'', the winner's single and his debut single, "When We Collide", was released. The track was made available to purchase on 12 December 2010, shortly after the show had ended. On 19 December 2010, the track debuted at number one on the UK Singles Chart, as well as on the Irish Singles Chart. The track also became the second biggest-selling single of 2010 with 815,000 copies sold within two weeks. The Ritz (Manchester)
The O2 Ritz (originally known as The Ritz) is a live music venue on Whitworth Street West in Manchester, England. Built as a dance hall in 1927, it was designated a Grade II listed building in 1994. The venue is notable for its sprung dance floor. The Ritz was taken over by HMV in 2011 and given a £2 million refurbishment. O2 Academy Newcastle
NX Newcastle, formerly known as the O2 Academy Newcastle, is a music venue in Newcastle upon Tyne, England. It opened in the former Majestic Ballroom building on 14 October 2005 as the Carling Academy, and was renamed for Telefónica Europe's O2 mobile network brand in 2008. The venue was managed by Academy Music Group until early 2022, when Electric Group took over the operation of the site. The Arches (Glasgow)
The Arches was a bar, arts venue, theatre, live music venue and nightclub in Glasgow, Scotland, which first opened in 1991. It was a not-for-profit organisation, and was situated in the City Centre under Glasgow Central station and the West Coast Main Line in the brick arches of the viaduct leading into the station, with entrances on Midland Street, and (since 2001) an entrance underneath Hielanman's Umbrella on Argyle Street.
