''Poi Mugangal'' () is a 1986 Indian Tamil-language film directed by C. V. Rajendran. The film stars Rakesh and Sulakshana. Rakesh previously produced the Tamil film '' Padikkadavan'' (1985), under his real name V. Ravichandran. The film is based on the story ''Kakitha Changiligal'' () by Sujatha. It was released on 28 March 1986. Plot The story is about a young husband who has a kidney disorder and pleads with his wife's blood relatives to wait for an alternative kidney. Sujatha (writer)
S. Rangarajan (3 May 1935 – 27 February 2008), better known by his allonym Sujatha, was an Indian author, novelist and screenwriter who wrote in Tamil. He authored over 100 novels, 250 short stories, ten books on science, ten stage plays, and a slim volume of poems. He was one of the most popular authors in Tamil literature, and a regular contributor to topical columns in Tamil periodicals such as Ananda Vikatan, Kumudam and Kalki. He had a wide readership, and served for a brief period as the editor of Kumudam, and has also written screenplays and dialogues for several Tamil films. Sujatha was also an engineer; he supervised the design and production of the electronic voting machine ( EVM) during his tenure at Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL), a machine which is currently used in elections throughout India. Veeraswamy Ravichandran (born 30 May 1961), known mononymously as Ravichandran, is an actor, director, producer, music director, lyricist and editor in the Kannada Film Industry. He is the son of film producer N. Veeraswamy. As producer, Ravichandran continues to run his father's production house, Sri Eswari Productions. Sulakshana is an Indian actress who has performed in Tamil, Malayalam, Telugu, and Kannada films and serials. She started at the age of two and half in the movie ''Kaaviya Thalaivi'' as child Krishna, she was credited as Dolly. After that she acted in ''Thulabharam'' as child artist in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Hindi (all versions) and credited as Rajani . Shankar–Ganesh is an Indian music director duo who has worked on Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada movies for around 50 years. Career They started as assistants to Tamil music composers M. S. Viswanathan and T. K. Ramamoorthy in 1964 and later the duo assisted M.S.Viswanathan alone from 1965 till 1967. ''Padikkadavan'' () is a 1985 Indian Tamil-language action drama film, starring Sivaji Ganesan, Rajinikanth and Ambika. It is directed by Rajasekhar. The film was produced by Kannada actor Ravichandran along with his father N. Veeraswamy. It is a remake of the Hindi film ''Khud-Daar'' (1982). Narayanan, better known by his stage name Sivachandran, is an Indian actor, director, and writer who was active in Tamil cinema mostly in the 1980s. Vairamuthu Ramasamy (born 13 July 1953) is an Indian lyricist, poet, and novelist working in the Tamil film industry. He is a prominent figure in the Tamil literary world.
