Sivachandran
Narayanan, better known by his stage name Sivachandran, is an Indian actor, director, and writer who was active in Tamil cinema mostly in the 1980s. Career Sivachandran was originally offered to act in ''Kizhakke Pogum Rail'' (1978), but declined. He made his film debut in ''Pattina Pravesam'' (1977) as one of the lead actors. He later starred in ''Annapoorani'' (1978) with R. Muthuraman in a negative role. He went on to star in notable films include ''Aval Appadithan'' (1978) and ''Polladhavan (1980 film), Polladhavan'' (1980). He made his directorial debut with ''En Uyir Kannamma'' (1988) and went on to direct several films with Prabhu (actor), Prabhu. Personal life Sivachandran was born as Narayanan, in Valparai, in Coimbatore district. He changed his name to Sivachandran and started his acting career. ''Raththa Dhanam'' () is a 1988 Indian Tamil language film, directed by Sivachandran and produced by himself and Lakshmi. The film stars Prabhu, Gautami, Sadhana, Lakshmi and Sivachandran. ''En Uyir Kannamma'' () is a 1988 Indian Tamil language film, the directorial debut of Sivachandran. The film stars Prabhu, Radha, Lakshmi and S. S. Chandran. The film had musical score by Ilaiyaraaja, and was released on 15 January 1988. Plot Shanmuga, a lorry cleaner is in love with Kannamma; however unknown to him he had slept with a woman Ammu during a rainy night because he was drunk at that time. Ammu, who turns out to be pregnant, her chastity has been questioned by the village. She dies while giving birth to a girl child. Kannamma hates Shanmugam for committing this mistake. Mahalakshmi (born 13 December 1952), known professionally as Lakshmi, is an Indian actress known for her works primarily in the southern film industry (distributing her acting career in almost each Dravidian language equally), along with some Hindi films. She made her film debut through a Tamil film '' Sri Valli'' in 1961. Her debut as an actress happened with the Tamil film '' Jeevanaamsam'' in 1968.
