Pirkkala
Pirkkala (; sv, Birkala) is a municipality of Finland. It is located some south-west from Tampere in the Pirkanmaa region. The municipality has a population of () and covers an area of of which is water. The population density is , which makes it the most densely populated municipality in Finland that does not use the title of town or city. Pirkkala is also currently the fastest-growing municipality in the Pirkanmaa region. The municipality is unilingually Finnish. Tampere-Pirkkala Airport is located in southwest Pirkkala. Tampere ( , , ; sv, Tammerfors, ) is a city in the Pirkanmaa region, located in the western part of Finland. Tampere is the most populous inland city in the Nordic countries. It has a population of 244,029; the urban area has a population of 341,696; and the metropolitan area, also known as the Tampere sub-region, has a population of 393,941 in an area of . Naistenmatka
Naistenmatka is the town and at the same time the administrative center of the municipality of Pirkkala in Pirkanmaa, Finland. Its population was 800 people in 1997, or about 15% of Pirkkala's population. The first buildings in the village of Naistenmatka were in the 16th century in Suupanmäki. Pirkkala's services began to focus on Naistenmatka in the early 1950s, and soon the area became the center of the municipality (known as Suuppa). The municipal hall was completed in 1964, the school center 1968–1973, the library 1977 and the health center 1986. The new church of Pirkkala is also located near Naistenmatka, and the school center includes the Naistenmatka School, Suupanniitty School, and Pirkkala High School. Nokia, Finland
Nokia () is a town and a municipality on the banks of the Nokianvirta River (part of the Kokemäki River) in the region of Pirkanmaa, some west of Tampere in Finland. The distance to Tampere Airport from Nokia is using road connections when circling Lake Pyhäjärvi. Its neighboring municipalities are Hämeenkyrö, Pirkkala, Sastamala, Tampere, Vesilahti and Ylöjärvi. Pirkanmaa (; sv, Birkaland; la, Birkaria, link=no), also known as ''Tampere Region'' in government documents, is a region of Finland. It borders the regions of Satakunta, South Ostrobothnia, Central Finland, Päijät-Häme, Kanta-Häme and Southwest Finland. Most of the water area in the Kokemäki River watershed is located in the Pirkanmaa region, although Lake Vanajavesi is partly in the Kanta-Häme region. Minna Craucher
Madame Minna Craucher (23 August 1891 – 8 March 1932) was the false name of Maria Vilhelmiina Lindell, a Finnish socialite and spy. Her home was a noted salon for various writers and artists. She also did espionage, originally for the Cheka, the Soviet secret police, and was arrested three times for fraud. Mika Mäki
Mika Mäki (born February 27, 1988) is a Finnish former racing driver. Career Mika started in karting, and competed for five years before heading to Germany and its Formula BMW ADAC series in 2005, finishing fourth in the Rookie Cup, and took his first victory at the Norisring. He moved to the Eifelland Racing Team for the 2006 season, finishing as runner-up with nine podiums. In 2007 Mäki got a seat in the Red Bull Junior Team. He was one of eighteen drivers selected for the programme of developing young talented drivers towards Formula One. Ilmari Launis
Adolf Ilmari Launis (before 1900 Lindberg; 3 December 1881, Hämeenlinna – 10 April 1955, Helsinki) was a Finnish architect. Ilmari Launis graduated as an architect in 1905 and worked for a government agency overseeing the construction of public buildings between 1905 and 1937. In this capacity he was responsible for the design of several churches, parsonages, parish houses and burial chapels in Finland. Apart from providing the overall design, he on several occasions also painted altarpieces and designed stained glass windows and other details of the churches himself. He also worked for a period as City Architect of Kuopio. Jan-Mikael Järvinen (born 26 February 1988) is a Finnish professional ice hockey forward who is currently playing with the Porin Ässät in the Liiga. Playing career Järvinen grew up playing as a youth with Ilves Tampere . Tampere Ring Road
The Tampere Ring Road (Finnish language, Finnish: ''Tampereen kehätie'') or former Finnish National Road 60 (Finnish: ''Kantatie 60'') is a ring road in Tampere sub-region, Finland. It leads (from west to east) from Ylöjärvi to Tampere, passing by Nokia, Finland, Nokia and Pirkkala. Its western part forms part of Finnish national road 3, Highway 3 (between Helsinki and Vaasa), while its eastern part forms part of Finnish national road 9, Highway 9 (between Turku and Tohmajärvi). The entire length of the ring road has been a motorway since 2009. The main stretch of the ring road sees over 50,000 vehicles per day.
