Philippe Giusiano
Philippe Giusiano (born 1973, in Marseille) is a French classical pianist. In 1990, he took part at the XII International Chopin Piano Competition, where he obtained an Honourable Mention. Five years later, Giusiano took part in the XIII competition and made it to the finals along with Alexei Sultanov and Gabriela Montero. With the 1st prize being declared void, Giusiano and Sultanov shared the 2nd prize. His career took a real turn in 1995, when he won the Second Grand Prize at the Warsaw Chopin International Piano Competition, no first prize having been awarded. Karl-Heinz Kämmerling
Karl-Heinz Kämmerling (6 May 1930 – 14 June 2012) was a notable German academic teacher of classical pianists, who trained pianists at the Mozarteum in Salzburg and the Hochschule für Musik, Theater und Medien Hannover for careers as performers and academic teachers, particularly in the early training of highly gifted students. Career Kämmerling was born in Dessau and studied at the Hochschule für Musik Leipzig with Anton Rohden and Hugo Steurer. Besides teaching as a professor at the Mozarteum and in Hannover, he became a guest professor at the university of music in Zagreb in 2004 and taught master classes in Europe, the United States and Asia. Jacques Rouvier
Jacques Rouvier (born 18 January 1947 in Marseille) is a French pianist. He studied at the Paris Conservatory with Jean Hubeau, Vlado Perlemuter, Pierre Sancan and later on Jean Fassina. He won two Premiers Prix (first prizes): in piano performance (1965) and in chamber music (1967). Rouvier was remarkably successful at piano competitions in his youth. He won the Grand prize at the Concours des Jeunesses musicales in Montreal in 1965. He took first prize at both the Viotti International Music Competition in Vercelli and the Barcelona Competition in 1967. He then took third prize at the Marguerite Long-Jacques Thibaud International Competition (ex-aequo with Vladimir Viardo) in Paris in 1971, securing an international career. The Conservatoire de Paris (), also known as the Paris Conservatory, is a college of music and dance founded in 1795. Jean-Claude Pennetier (born 16 May 1942) is a French classical pianist. Biography Born in Châtellerault, Pennetier began studying the piano at the age of three and later entered the Conservatoire de Paris in piano and chamber music classes. After having passed several international competitions, he began a solo career which led him to perform abroad. In the early 1970s, he temporarily interrupted this career to devote himself to composition and conducting. He also took advantage of this period to deepen his repertoire and his reflection on music. He became interested in musical theatre, writing operas for children, the pianoforte. He is also passionate about chamber music and contemporary classical music.
