Peter Bondra
Peter Bondra (; born 7 February 1968) is a Ukrainian-born Slovak former professional ice hockey player. He was the general manager of the Slovakia national team from 2007 to 2011. A two-time 50-goal scorer, Bondra became the 37th player in National Hockey League (NHL) history to score 500 NHL goals; he is one of five eligible 500-goal players not currently in the Hockey Hall of Fame. He has the fewest points among all players who reached that milestone with 892. Bondra scored the most goals in the NHL in two seasons, 1994–95 and 1997–98. He is one of a few players who scored five or more goals in one game in NHL. Life and family Bondra was born in 1968 in , Lutsk Raion, Ukraine, which was then a part of the Soviet Union. Atlanta Thrashers
The Atlanta Thrashers were a professional ice hockey team based in Atlanta. Atlanta was granted a franchise in the National Hockey League (NHL) on June 25, 1997, and became the League's 28th franchise when it began play in the 1999–2000 season. They were members of the Southeast Division of the NHL's Eastern Conference, and played their home games at what is now known as State Farm Arena in downtown Atlanta. The Thrashers qualified for the Stanley Cup playoffs in the 2006–07 season, after winning the Southeast Division, but were swept in the first round by the New York Rangers. In May 2011, the Thrashers were sold to Canadian-based ownership group True North Sports & Entertainment. Bratislava Capitals
The Bratislava Capitals were a professional Slovak ice hockey club based in Bratislava, Slovakia. They mostly played in the ICE Hockey League in Austria. The club was established in 2015 and ceased operations in 2022. History HC Bratislava was established in 2015 in response to the lack of a Bratislava senior team in Slovak competitions. In its first season in the second division, it finished 12th out of 16 teams. In the 2016/17 season, the club found a stable home in Vladimír Dzurilla Arena in Ružinov. The club stabilized, established itself in the second hockey league and finished fourth out of 20 teams. Dávid Bondra
Dávid Bondra (born 26 August 1992) is an American-born Slovak former professional ice hockey player. Personal life Bondra was born in Annapolis, Maryland, when his father, Peter was a member of the Washington Capitals. He spent the majority of his youth in the United States where his father played for the Capitals from 1990-2004. Playing career College Dávid was a forward at Michigan State University for the Spartans men's ice hockey team. He scored 1 goal over his Michigan State tenure, and was able to tack up 48 healthy scratches. His brother, Nick, was beginning his collegiate career at Amherst College in 2017. Professional Bondra was selected 21st overall in the 2010 KHL draft. Bondra made his professional debut playing for HK Poprad of the Slovak Tipsport Liga.
