Per Juvkam
Per Juvkam (1907–2003) was a Norwegian Lutheran Bishop. He was born in 1907 in Sør-Aurdal in Oppland county, Norway. He served as Bishop of the Diocese of Bjørgvin from 1961 to 1977. Juvkam began his career as a priest in Vestre Toten in 1938. He served there until 1950 when he took a new job as the head parish priest for the parish of Vestre Slidre. In 1957, he took a new job as a priest in the Sinsen parish in Oslo. After 3 years on that job, in 1961 he was named the Bishop of the Diocese of Bjørgvin, based in the city of Bergen. He retired in 1971. Juvkam did some writing in the 1970s and 1980s during his retirement. Among his publications are a collection of sermons called ''Høgtidsdagar i Bjørgvin'' from 1977 and a book about the church in Norway ''Folkekirken – visjon og virkelighet'' from 1980. Sør-Aurdal is a municipality in Innlandet county, Norway. It is located in the traditional district of Valdres. The administrative centre of the municipality is the village of Bagn. Sinsen
Sinsen is a mixed residential and commercial area in Grünerløkka borough of Oslo, Norway. The westernmost part of Sinsen is part of the borough Nordre Aker. The Sinsen Interchange, located on the border between the boroughs of Nordre Aker, Grünerløkka and Bjerke, was the first roundabout in Norway. It has since developed into a multi-lever intersection, with both Ring 3, National Road 4 and the Sinsen Line of the Oslo Tramway routes around. "North of the Sinsen Interchange" is common expression in the Norwegian district debates, where inhabitants of Oslo are accused of being ignorant of the country north of the interchange. The expression cropped up in revues during the 1960s, and is probably due to that Sinsen then was the end point for the main road leading into Oslo from the north. Thor With
Thor Scherffenberg With was a Norwegian bishop and theologian in the Church of Norway. He was bishop of the Diocese of Bjørgvin from 1977 until 1987. Thor With was born on 14 January 1918 in the village of Honningsvåg in Nordkapp Municipality in far northern Norway. He received his cand.theol. degree in 1943 and was ordained as a priest in 1946. He completed further studies of the Northern Sami language in 1950 from the University of Oslo. With served as the acting parish priest in Narvik from 1947 until 1949. He then was an assistant priest at Tromsø Cathedral from 1949–1950. In 1950 he became the rector of the Sami folk high school in Karasjok, a position he held until 1957. Ragnvald Indrebø
Ragnvald Andreas Indrebø (22 November 1891–26 June 1984) was a Norwegian Lutheran Bishop. He was born in Os. He was part of the movement to translate the Norwegian Bible into the Nynorsk written language during the 1930s. He edited the periodical '' Luthersk Kirketidende'' from 1938 to 1948. He served as Bishop of the Diocese of Bjørgvin from 1948 to 1961. Early life Ragnvald Indrebø was born on 22 November 1891 in Os, a small municipality, just south of the city of Bergen in Hordaland county, Norway. His parents were Ludvig Johannes Indrebø and Severine Malene Frøysland. His brother was Gustav Indrebø, who went on to be a famous linguist in Norway. Nynorsk () () is one of the two written standards of the Norwegian language, the other being Bokmål.
