Peddapalli–Nizamabad Line
Peddapalli–Nizamabad line is a single-track broad-gauge railway line in the Indian state of Telangana. It connects Nizamabad and Peddapalli in South Central Railway zone. It reduces the distance between Nizamabad, Karimnagar and Warangal. Peddapalli is located on Kazipet–Balharshah section of Delhi–Chennai line, known as ''Grand Trunk line'' and Nizamabad is located on Secunderabad–Manmad line. History Peddapalli–Karimnagar–Nizamabad railway line (177 km) was sanctioned by the late Shri. P.V. Narasimha Rao who was the 10th Prime Minister of India in the year of 1993. It took 23 years to be completed in a phased manner. The section between Peddapalli and Karimnagar was completed and train services were started in 2001. It took another 6 years to complete the stretch between Karimnagar and Jagityal and passenger trains were extended till Jagityal from 2007. On Indian Railways, the MEMUs are electric multiple unit (EMU) trains that serve short and medium-distance routes in India, as compared to normal EMU trains that connect urban and suburban areas. Nizamabad Junction railway station (station code: NZB) is an Indian Railways station, which serves the city of Nizamabad in Telangana. Kothapalli–Manoharabad Line
The Kothapalli–Manoharabad line is a single-track broad-gauge railway line under construction, in the Indian state of Telangana. The foundation stone was laid on 8 August 2016 by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Once completed, it will connect Manoharabad to Kothapally in the South Central Railway zone. It reduces the distance from Karimnagar to Hyderabad and provides railway connectivity to many districts in between such as Gajwel, Siddipet, Sircilla. On 29 June 2022, the railway line from Manoharabad to Kothapalli received its first shipment of goods at the Gajwel stop. As of January 2023, the railway has been completed up to Kodakandla, with the remaining work to be completed by 2025. Peddapalli
Peddapalli is a town and Revenue Division in Peddapalli District in the Indian state of Telangana. It is the headquarters of the Peddapalli District and Peddapalli mandal. It is located about 197 kilometres (122 mi) North of the state capital Hyderabad, 36 kilometres (22 mi) from Karimnagar, 28 kilometres (17 mi) from Ramagundam.
