Pavlos Emmanouilidis
Pavlos "Lakis" Emmanouilidis ( el, Παύλος "Λάκης" Εμμανουηλίδης; born 1929) is a Greeks, Greek former professional Association football, footballer who played as Forward (association football), forward, mostly for AEK Athens F.C., AEK Athens. A very fast right midfielder who wrote his own story in AEK and in Greek stadiums. Club career Emmanouilidis was born in 1929 at Thiseio and grew up in Patissia, where he was located by Georgios Daispangos and brought to the youth divisions of AEK Athens F.C., AEK Athens, before being promoted to the first team in 1947. He was considered the fastest player of his generation, with a very strong shot, he started as a Forward (association football)#Centre-forward, center-forward but then converted to the position of Midfielder (association football)#Wide midfielder, right midfielder. Thiseio
Thiseio or Thissio ( el, Θησείο, ) is a traditional neighbourhood in the old city of Athens, Greece, northwest of the Acropolis, and surrounded by the archaeological sites of the Agora, Keramikos and Pnyx. The name refers to the Temple of Hephaestus, which was mistakenly known as ''Thiseion'', in reference to Theseus, the mythical king of Athens. The games signalled the arrival (to Western Europeans at least) of the Hungarian national football team – the "Magical Magyars". The Greek Football Cup ( el, Κύπελλο Ελλάδος Ποδοσφαίρου), commonly known as the Greek Cup or Kypello Elladas is a Greek football competition, run by the Hellenic Football Federation.
