Pauliina Aalto (born 25 November 1967) is a Finnish former Ten-pin bowling player at international level. Biography Aalto was born in Helsinki in 1967. Aalto took up Ten-pin bowling in 1979. She took part World contest in 1993 where she won a Gold medal for the doubles. Between 1993 and 1997 she won numerous medals including 11 gold medals. Ten-pin bowling is a type of bowling in which a bowler rolls a bowling ball down a wood or synthetic lane toward ten pins positioned evenly in four rows in an equilateral triangle. The objective is to knock down all ten pins on the first roll of the ball (a strike), or failing that, on the second roll (a spare). An approximately long ''approach'' area used by the bowler to impart speed and apply rotation to the ball ends in a ''foul line''.
