Park Jun-young (2003 June 18th)
Park Junyoung (born 12 March 1982) is a South Korean singer from Busan who debuted in Japan in March 2012 with the single . Career Park was a member of two different K-pop bands in South Korea, but they both disbanded. He was subsequently spotted by Japanese ''enka'' singer while performing as an independent musician in western Japan. His Japanese debut single, , was released on 7 March 2012 on the King Records label, and reached number 109 on the Oricon music chart. Park's second Japanese single, , was released on 13 March 2013, and reached number 44 on the Oricon music chart. On the same day, Park embarked on a tour of all 47 prefectures of Japan to promote the single. , commonly known as King Records, is a Japanese record company founded in January 1931 as a division of the Japanese publisher Kodansha. It initially began operating as an independent entity in the 1950s. It later became part of the Otowa Group. K-pop
K-pop (), short for Korean popular music, is a form of popular music originating in South Korea as part of South Korean culture. It includes styles and genres from around the world, such as pop, hip hop, R&B, experimental, rock, jazz, gospel, reggae, electronic dance, folk, country, disco, and classical on top of its traditional Korean music roots. Enka
is a Japanese music genre considered to resemble traditional Japanese music stylistically. Modern ''enka'', however, is a relatively recent musical form, which adopts a more traditional musical style in its vocalism than '' ryūkōka'' music, popular during the prewar years. Modern ''enka'', as developed in the postwar era, is a form of sentimental ballad music. Some of the first modern ''enka'' singers were Hachiro Kasuga, Michiya Mihashi, and Hideo Murata. , established in 1999, is the holding company at the head of a Japanese corporate group that supplies statistics and information on music and the music industry in Japan and Western music. Japan is divided into 47 prefectures (, ''todōfuken'', ), which rank immediately below the national government and form the country's first level of jurisdiction and administrative division.
