Pankrác
Pankrác is a neighborhood of Prague, Czech Republic. It is located south of the city centre on the hills of the eastern bank of the Vltava River and is part of the Prague 4 municipal district, situated in the district of Nusle. Bordering districts are Krč on the south and southwest, Podolí on the west, Vyšehrad on the north and Michle on the east. The name derives from the local baroque initially very old church of St Pancras (''Pankrác'' in Czech), which is filial to the parish church of St. Wenceslas in Nusle. Pankrác Prison
Pankrác Prison, officially Prague Pankrác Remand Prison (''Vazební věznice Praha Pankrác'' in Czech), is a prison in Prague, Czech Republic. A part of the Czech Prison Service, it is located southeast of Prague city centre in Pankrác, not far from Pražského povstání metro station on Line C. It is used in part for persons awaiting trial and partly for convicted prisoners. Since 2008, women have also been incarcerated here. Krč
Krč is a district in the south of Prague, located in Prague 4. It became part of the city in 1922. History Krč ( la, Carrium) was first mentioned in written documents in 1222. During the time of the Hussites, the area was seized by the ''Pražský svaz'', the Hussite denomination from Prague. In 1900, ''Dolní Krč'' (lower Krč) comprised 1,354 inhabitants, a chateau, a brewery and a brickyard, and was part of the Nusle district, while ''Horní Krč'' (upper Krč) and the nearby hamlet Jalové Dvory belonged to Královské Vinohrady. Prague 4, formally the Prague 4 Municipal District (''Městská čast Praha 4''), is a second-tier municipality in Prague. The administrative district (''správní obvod'') of the same name consists of municipal districts Prague 4 and Kunratice. Wenceslaus I, Duke Of Bohemia
Wenceslaus I ( cs, Václav ; c. 907 – 28 September 935 or 929), Wenceslas I or ''Václav the Good'' was the Duke ('' kníže'') of Bohemia from 921 until his death, probably in 935.
