Palace Of The Silver Princess
''Palace of the Silver Princess'' is an adventure module for the ''Dungeons & Dragons'' ''Basic Set''. It was recalled on the same day it was released, then rewritten and re-released some months later. The original version, with an orange cover, was written in 1980 by Jean Wells. When the orange version was recalled (and most copies destroyed), the module was rewritten by Tom Moldvay and released with a green cover. Writing credit on the second version was given to both Moldvay and Wells, although there was very little of Wells' original content in Moldvay's version. ''Palace of the Silver Princess'' contains a single ''D&D'' adventure laid out in a format suitable for a single gaming session. The module includes game maps on the unattached outside cover. Erol Otus
Erol Otus is an American artist and game designer, known internationally for his contributions to the fantasy role-playing game (RPG) genre, especially early in the ''Dungeons & Dragons'' franchise. He is also known for his artwork on the multiple award winning ''Star Control II'' as well as providing the voice for one of the character races, the Chmmr, in the same game. Biography A self-taught artist since childhood, Otus developed an interest in role-playing games and became employed in the art department of game company TSR in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin in the 1970s. After leaving the company, he studied painting at UC Berkeley and also took classes at the Academy of Art in San Francisco. He has cited a wide range of influences on his work from Dr. Seuss and Frank Frazetta to modern artists such as Joan Miró, Willem de Kooning and Wassily Kandinsky. The Satanic panic is a moral panic consisting of over 12,000 unsubstantiated cases of Satanic ritual abuse (SRA, sometimes known as ritual abuse, ritualistic abuse, organized abuse, or sadistic ritual abuse) starting in the United States in the 1980s, spreading throughout many parts of the world by the late 1990s, and persisting today. Jim Roslof
James Paul Roslof (November 21, 1946March 19, 2011) was an American artist who produced cover art and interior illustrations of fantasy role-playing games published by TSR, Inc. during the "golden age" of ''Dungeons & Dragons''. As Art Director at TSR in the early 1980s, he was also responsible for hiring many of the young artists who would go on to careers in the fantasy role-playing industry. Roslof created the cover for '' Keep on the Borderlands'', of which more than one million copies were sold. Laura Roslof
Laura S. Roslof (November 12, 1948April 2, 2018) was an American artist. She and her husband, Jim Roslof, worked for TSR, Inc. during the "golden age" of ''Dungeons & Dragons''. Laura was best known for creating a contentious piece of art for the ''D&D'' adventure ''Palace of the Silver Princess''. Early life Laura Roslof (née Miller) was born November 12, 1948, in DeKalb, Illinois to Edward and Hildegard (Vilser) Miller. On April 28, 1968, at age 20, she married Jim Roslof. In reproductive biology, a hermaphrodite () is an organism that has both kinds of reproductive organs and can produce both gametes associated with male and female sexes. Many Taxonomy (biology), taxonomic groups of animals (mostly invertebrates) do not have separate sexes. Mike Carr (born September 4, 1951) is a writer and game designer. Career Early years While still a teenager living in Saint Paul in 1968, Carr created a game called '' Fight in the Skies'' (also known as ''Dawn Patrol''). He was invited to present and referee the game at the very first Gen Con convention in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin, but had to convince his parents to drive him to Lake Geneva for the weekend. While at Gen Con, he met the convention's organizer, Gary Gygax, and quickly became an acquaintance. Three years later, he co-authored ''Don't Give Up The Ship!'' with Gygax and Dave Arneson. Carr began wargaming with the International Federation of Wargamers as a teenager. After high school, Carr completed a Bachelor of Arts degree in History from Macalester College before going on to work as a restaurant manager with Ground Round in the mid-1970s.
