Pac-Pix
is a 2005 action video game in the Pac-Man series, developed and published by Namco for the Nintendo DS. As the first home ''Pac-Man'' video game to use motion controls, it involves using the Nintendo DS's touchscreen to draw Pac-Men and guiding them to eat all the ghosts on each page by using various gestures. ''Pac-Pix'' was originally conceived as an arcade game by director Tetsuya Shinoda four years prior. With inspiration from Apple personal digital assistants (PDAs) correcting text with a tiny puff, he found this type of control intuitive and wanted to implement it into a game. Two years later, the creators pitched the idea as a tablet computer and PDA game, but found the game and the target audience for such hardware did not match. When the DS was announced, Yoshizawa stated that "the time was right". Upon release, the game received mixed to positive reviews. Hideo Yoshizawa
born September 2, 1960, is a Japanese video game director, screenwriter, and producer, most famous for his work on the ''Ninja Gaiden'' and ''Klonoa'' series of video games. Prior to being employed by Namco, he worked for Tecmo and was involved in the original ''Ninja Gaiden'' trilogy for the Nintendo Entertainment System under the name "Sakurazaki". As of April 2016, Yoshizawa has left Bandai Namco Studios and is now working freelance. On January 10, 2017, Henshin announced that they had signed Yoshizawa on board for their then upcoming animated film adaptation of Klonoa as an executive producer. Yoshizawa is a professor at Tokyo Polytechnic University. originally called ''Puck Man'' in Japan, is a 1980 maze action video game developed and released by Namco for arcades. In North America, the game was released by Midway Manufacturing as part of its licensing agreement with Namco America. The player controls Pac-Man, who must eat all the dots inside an enclosed maze while avoiding four colored ghosts. Eating large flashing dots called "Power Pellets" causes the ghosts to temporarily turn blue, allowing Pac-Man to eat them for bonus points. Game development began in early 1979, directed by Toru Iwatani with a nine-man team. Iwatani wanted to create a game that could appeal to women as well as men, because most video games of the time had themes of war or sports. Metacritic is a website that review aggregator, aggregates reviews of films, TV shows, music albums, video games and formerly, books. For each product, the scores from each review are averaged (a weighted arithmetic mean, weighted average). Metacritic was created by Jason Dietz, Marc Doyle, and Julie Doyle Roberts in 1999. is a 2005 platform video game developed and published by Namco for the Nintendo DS. It stars a 3D Pac-Man as the user rolls him through the playing field using the touchscreen.
