Pablo Lachat
Pablo Lachat (born 20 October 2000) is a Swiss curler from Bussigny, Switzerland. He currently plays lead on Team Yannick Schwaller. Career Lachat won the Swiss Junior Curling Championships in 2020 with his team of Jan Klossner, Theo Short and Anthony Petoud. This qualified the team for the 2021 World Junior Curling Championships, however, the event was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Lachat was the alternate for the Swiss National Men's Curling Team skipped by Peter de Cruz at the 2021 World Men's Curling Championship. At the Worlds, Team Switzerland finished the round robin with a 8–5 record which qualified them for the playoffs as the sixth seed. They then defeated the United States 7–6 in the qualification game before losing 11–3 to Sweden in the semifinal. They were able to defeat RCF (Russia) in the bronze medal game 6–5 to claim the bronze medal. 2021 European Curling Championships
The 2021 European Curling Championships were held in September and November 2021, to qualify European curling teams for the 2022 World Curling Championships and World Qualification Event. The A and B division competitions were held from November 20 to 27 in Lillehammer, Norway. The C division competition was held from September 12 to 17 in Geneva, Switzerland. The top eight men's teams qualified for the 2022 World Men's Curling Championship. The host of the qualifier (Finland) and the remaining team in the A division as well as the top three teams in the B division qualified for the 2022 World Qualification Event. Curling At The 2022 Winter Olympics
The Curling at the Winter Olympics, curling competitions of the 2022 Winter Olympics were held at the Beijing National Aquatics Centre, one of the Olympic Green venues. Curling competitions were scheduled for every day of the games, from February 2 to February 20. This was the eighth time that curling was part of the Olympic program. In each of the men's, women's and mixed doubles curling, mixed doubles competitions, 10 nations competed. The mixed doubles competition was expanded for its second appearance in the Olympics. A total of 120 quota spots (60 per sex) were distributed to the sport of curling, an increase of four from the 2018 Winter Olympics. Peter De Cruz
Peter Vincent de Cruz (born 4 January 1990) is a Swiss curler. He is an Olympic bronze medallist for Switzerland, having skipped his Swiss rink to a third place finish at the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang. While de Cruz is the skip of his team, he throws second stones. As a junior, De Cruz skipped the Swiss team at both the 2010 and 2011 World Junior Curling Championships. He won the gold medal in 2010, defeating Scotland, skipped by Ally Fraser. The World Junior Curling Championships are an annual curling bonspiel featuring the world's best curlers who are 21 years old or younger. The competitions for both men and women occur at the same venue. The men's tournament has occurred since 1975 and the women's since 1988. Since curling became an Olympic sport in 1998, the World Junior Curling Championship of the year preceding the Olympic Games have been held at the site of the curling tournament for the upcoming Games.
