PSA PF3 Platform
The PF3 Platform has been developed by engineers of the PSA Peugeot Citroën group for large and medium sized cars with front wheel drive and transverse engine. The first application using the PF3 platform is the 2001 Citroën C5. PSA PF3 was a global mid-size platform used by various models produced by Citroën and Peugeot. From 2013, PSA started to use the new EMP2 platform for future models, starting with the new Peugeot 308. PSA Peugeot Citroën
The PSA Group (), legally known as Peugeot S.A. (Peugeot Société Anonyme, trading as Groupe PSA; formerly known as PSA Peugeot Citroën from 1991 to 2016) was a French multinational automotive manufacturing company which produced automobiles and motorcycles under the Peugeot, Citroën, DS, Opel and Vauxhall brands. The Citroën C5 is a large family car (classified as a mid-size crossover since 2021) produced by the French manufacturer Citroën since March 2001, currently at its third generation. Peugeot (, , ) is a French brand of automobiles owned by Stellantis. PSA EMP2 Platform
The EMP2 (Efficient Modular Platform) is a modular car platform which is jointly developed and used by French car manufacturer PSA Group (merged into Stellantis since 2021) for compact and mid-size cars with front wheel drive or four wheel drive and transverse engine. It replaces the PF2 and PF3 platforms in one combined modular platform, and cost PSA €630 million to develop. Specification The EMP2 platform is highly modular, with a choice of short and long wheelbase, low or high riding height, and a choice of independent multi-link or twisted-beam rear suspension. Comparing to the predecessor PF2, the platform reduces the weight by 70 kg using very high strength steel, aluminum and magnesium alloys, and composite materials. The Peugeot 407 is a large family car (D-segment) produced by the French automaker Peugeot, from 2004 to 2011.
