PGA Tour China
PGA Tour China is a China-based men's professional golf tour as part of the PGA Tour's global expansion. The tour started in 2014. After a hiatus in 2017, the tour resumed in 2018. It is known as PGA Tour Series China. An earlier tour, the Omega China Tour, ran from 2004 to 2009. The United States-based PGA Tour started PGA Tour China in 2014, joining PGA Tour Canada and PGA Tour Latinoamérica as international developmental tours. Similar to the Canadian and Latinoamerica tours, PGA Tour China offers a path to the Korn Ferry Tour for top finishers. It also offers Official World Golf Ranking points to the top-six finishers at each tournament. The top five finishers on the Order of Merit at season's end receive promotion to the Korn Ferry Tour. Dou Zecheng
Dou Zecheng (, born 22 January 1997) is a Chinese professional golfer. He is from Henan Province. As an amateur, Dou represented China at the Golf at the 2014 Summer Youth Olympics, Summer Youth Olympics, Golf at the 2014 Asian Games, Asian Games, and Eisenhower Trophy in 2014. He won several amateur events and two professional events in China before turning professional in 2014. Dou won four times on the PGA Tour China in 2016 and won the Order of Merit. He began playing on the Web.com Tour in 2017 and won the Digital Ally Open in July, the first Chinese player to win on the Web.com Tour. Bryden Macpherson (born 7 August 1990) is an Australian professional golfer best known for winning The Amateur Championship in 2011. Amateur career Macpherson was born in Melbourne, Australia. He won the Dunes Medal in 2008, an amateur event in Australia, and set two course records in the process, shooting a 64 and then bettering it with a 63. The LocaliQ Series, stylized as the LOCALiQ Series, was a one-off professional golf tour played in 2020 and organised by the PGA Tour. The series was announced following the cancellation of much of the PGA Tour's global development tours due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The tour is aimed at players who would have qualified to play on PGA Tour Canada, PGA Tour Latinoamérica and PGA Tour China in 2020, with places also available to players on the second-tier Korn Ferry Tour and sponsor invites. Originally called the XYZ Series, business marketing firm LocaliQ became the title sponsor. The seven regular tournaments on the circuit were contested over 54 holes of stroke play with 144 competitors, a cut line of 55 plus ties, and a minimum prize fund of $100,000.
