Písnice
Písnice (german: Piesnitz) is a borough of the city of Prague, and a cadastral subdivision of Libuš and the municipal district of Prague 12. It was an independent municipality until its amalgamation into Prague in 1974. There are 42 streets and 496 addresses registered, and a population of over 4,000. Geography Písnice consists of two distinct urban areas, separated by an undeveloped strip along the Kunratice bypass road, and its future extension. The southern part, consisting primarily of residential houses, is clustered around the historical village of Písnice. The northern part consists of a tower block housing estate and the grounds of a former meat factory. Písnice is bordered on the north by Libuš, in the west by the village of Cholupice, on the east by Kunratice and the southeast by Hodkovice and the village of Vestec. Libuš
Libuš () is one of the municipal districts of Prague. It is located in the southern part of Prague in the administrative district of Prague 4 Prague 4, formally the Prague 4 Municipal District (''Městská čast Praha 4''), is a second-tier municipality in Prague. The administrative district (''správní obvod'') of the same name consists of municipal districts Prague 4 and Kunratice. ... and consists of the cadastral areas of Libuš and Písnice. Line D (Prague Metro)
Line D () is a Under construction line of the Prague Metro, which will serve Prague 4 and Prague 12 in the south of the Czech capital. Construction began on the first part of the line in 2022. History Construction of Line D connecting Náměstí Míru with Nové Dvory area was previously intended to start in 2010. An alternative was proposed in 2012, without building a transfer station at Pankrác, and instead sharing Line C between Nádraží Holešovice and Pankrác. The construction of the line was approved by the city of Prague in 2013, and was initially planned to be built between 2017 and 2022. The project involves of track with 10 stations, connecting Náměstí Míru and Depo Písnice. D0 Motorway (Czech Republic)
D0 motorway ( cs, Dálnice D0), formerly R1 expressway ( cs, Rychlostní silnice R1), or Prague Ring Road ( cs, Pražský okruh), also called the outer ring road, is a motorway in the Czech Republic. It is an outer ring of Prague and its first segment was opened in the 1980s. There is also an inner Prague Municipal Ring Road, which is still under construction as well. 40 km, from the planned length 80 km, are in operation. Two disjunct sections are opened to the public, one going all the way from the Ruzyně Airport to the interchange with the D1 highway, the other one being a road on the eastern border of Prague. A section connecting these two segments is to be built next. Other segments under preparation include a controversial bridge over the Vltava river near Suchdol, with locals proposing the road to be built in a less inhabited location to the north. Cholupice
Cholupice (german: Cholupitz) a village in the south of Prague and a cadastral subdivision of Prague 12. There are 18 streets and 165 addresses registered, and a population of around 600. The Outer Ring Road passes just south of the village, and to the south-west there is a recreational airport. The Cholupice Cemetery lies to the east. Cholupice was, at one time, an independent municipality. The village of Točná was joined to Cholupice in 1960. The municipality of Cholupice, including Točná, was amalgamated into the city of Prague in 1974. Modřany Gully
The Modřany Gully nature reserve ( cs, Přírodní památka Modřanská rokle) is located in the districts of Modřany, Cholupice and Libuš of Prague, Czech Republic on the east side of the Vltava river. It was formed by erosion from the Libuš creek, which, in several places has exposed geologic profiles. It was granted protected status due to the riparian forest in the area near the creek, and the occurrence of thermophilic meadow ecologies on the slopes, but in recent years has suffered from encroachment of foreign flora, in particular the Black Locust tree. It is also an important recreational area between two housing estates, containing a nature trail and several cycling routes. Sapa (Prague)
Sapa, fully TTTM Sapa ( vi, Trung Tâm Thương Mại Sapa), is the Prague's Little Hanoi, sometimes simply called Prague's Hanoi, the largest Vietnamese enclave, trading center and market in the Czech Republic, located in Libuš and Kunratice districts. D3 Motorway (Czech Republic)
The D3 motorway ( cs, Dálnice D3) is a highway in the Czech Republic. Currently only the middle segment of the route is in operation; when complete, it will run from Prague via Tábor and České Budějovice to the Czech-Austrian border at Dolní Dvořiště. It is part of the European route E55. The D3 motorway in the South Bohemian Region towards the Austrian border should be completed by 2025. Completion of D3 in the Central Bohemian Region is planned by 2028, however its designed course through the Lower Sázava landscape is still objected and opposed by environmental and citizens associations. Točná
Točná (german: Totschna) is a village, and a cadastral subdivision of the municipal district of Prague 12. There are 31 streets and 413 addresses registered, and a population of 679. The village lies just north of Prague's southern border, formed by the Břežaný valley, south-west of Cholupice, north-west of the municipality of Dolní Břežany. Between Točná and the Vltava river to the west is a protected forest. A private airport is located within the northern part of the village limits, near the area called Nouzov. The northern part of the village limits are bisected by Prague's Outer Ring Road, which then submerges into a tunnel just south of the airport. Bus line 113 terminates in the village, and line 341 passes through it. The village has a football pitch, home of the ''TJ Točná'' football club. Krč
Krč is a district in the south of Prague, located in Prague 4. It became part of the city in 1922. History Krč ( la, Carrium) was first mentioned in written documents in 1222. During the time of the Hussites, the area was seized by the ''Pražský svaz'', the Hussite denomination from Prague. In 1900, ''Dolní Krč'' (lower Krč) comprised 1,354 inhabitants, a chateau, a brewery and a brickyard, and was part of the Nusle district, while ''Horní Krč'' (upper Krč) and the nearby hamlet Jalové Dvory belonged to Královské Vinohrady.
