Puthiya Sagaptham
''Pudhiya Sagaptham'' () is a 1985 Indian Tamil-language drama film directed by Visu. The film stars Vijayakanth, Ambika and Visu. It was released on 2 May 1985, and failed commercially. Plot Uma finds a job in a college library after she impressed Vijay, a college student, who becomes the school leader. Uma's father kills her stepmother and commits suicide, leaving her and his three children alone. Ramadasaradan joins the college for a mysterious reason which only Uma knows. Ramadasaradan links secretly Vijay and Uma by writing the wrong relationship between them, so Uma is fired. When Vijay goes to her house, he sees a photo of Uma with her husband. The college watchman tells Vijay the truth and Vijay asks Ramadasaradan why he did it. Visu tells him that her husband is dead and he was her father-in-law. Meenakshisundaram Ramasamy Viswanathan (1 July 1945 – 22 March 2020), best known by his stage name Visu, was an Indian writer, director, stage, film and television actor and talk-show host. Visu initially worked as an assistant to director K. Balachander until becoming a director himself. He later began acting, with his first film being ''Kudumbam Oru Kadambam'' (1981), directed by S. P. Muthuraman. Career He started his career as a theatre artist, working with Y. G. Parthasarathy's drama troupe. Vasudevan (15 June 1944 – 20 February 2011), known as Malaysia Vasudevan, was a Malaysian-Indian playback singer and actor in Tamil cinema. Early life Malaysia Vasudevan's parents were from Palakkad. Chattu Nair of Ottappalam and Ammalu of Polpulli, along with their families migrated to British Malaya in search of a livelihood. After a few years, Chattu Nair married Ammalu in an arranged marriage. Vasudevan was born on 15 June 1944 as their eighth and youngest child. Even though he was a Malayali, as was the case with the majority of contemporary South Indian migrants to Malaya then, his surroundings in Malaysia was dominated by the Tamil language and culture. Pulavar Pulamaipithan (6 October 1935 – 8 September 2021) was an Indian scholar, poet and lyricist who got recognition through the song "Naan yaar nee yaar" which was featured in the Tamil film ''Kudiyirundha Koyil'' in 1968. He briefly served as the presidium chairman of AIADMK from 2002 to 2003, when he resigned citing ill-health. Biography Pulamaipithan was born in Irugur, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu on 6 October 1935.
