Puistolan Urheilijat (abbreviated PuiU) is a sports club from Helsinki, Finland specialising in football, badminton, tennis, volleyball, bowling and fitness. The club was formed in 1929 and currently has 1,400 members. The men's football first team currently plays in the Kolmonen (Third Division) and its home ground is at the Puistolan liikuntapuisto. Background PuiU was established in 1929 and has spent many seasons in the lower divisions of the Finnish football league. The club has achieved one season in the third tier, the Kakkonen (Second Division,) in 2007 but their stay was short-lived as they were relegated at the end of the campaign. The club is proud to have gained the Nuori Suomi -sinetti (Young Finland Seal) which recognises the quality of its youth work. The Rec.Sport.Soccer Statistics Foundation (RSSSF) is an international organization dedicated to collecting statistics about association football. The foundation aims to build an exhaustive archive of football-related information from around the world. Seiska (soccer League)
Seiska or VII divisioona is the seventh level in the Finnish football league system. The number of teams that compete each season can vary. The VII divisioona was introduced in 1973 and in the mid-2000’s it became known as the Seiska (''Number Seven'' in English and ''Sjuan'' in Swedish). In theory, Seiska is the last league in Finland where a club can go all the way and become Veikkausliiga champions. Competition The clubs in the Seiska are divided in 2 groups decided by geographical location. During the course of a season (starting in April and ending in October) teams play each other once. The groups then split approximately in half and the clubs play another round of one match against each other. The top teams in each Seiska group are normally promoted to the Kutonen. Laura Österberg Kalmari
Laura Elina Österberg Kalmari (; born 27 May 1979) is a Finnish former professional footballer. Immediately prior to her retirement in early 2012, she had been playing as a forward for American Women's Professional Soccer (WPS) team Sky Blue FC. She is the Finland women's national football team's most capped player. Club career Österberg Kalmari played in Finnish clubs Puistolan Urheilijat, Malmin Palloseura and HJK before moving to the University of Portland in 2000. Kalmari returned to HJK to play in the inaugural UEFA Women's Cup in 2001–2002. Petri Oravainen
Petri Oravainen (born 26 January 1983) is a Finnish former footballer, who represented HJK Helsinki and KuPS in the Veikkausliiga and FC Zwolle in the Netherlands. Oravainen, who is 177 cm tall, played as a winger on both left and right side. He made his debut at the senior level in 2001 at the age of 18. Club career Oravainen joined HJK as a thirteen-year-old. Before moving to Finnish top club's youth team, he had played in smaller junior clubs in the capital area. In 2001, he debuted in the first team and was said to be one of the most talented youth players in the league. In 2004, he was called up to the national team for the first time. However, a run of injuries disturbed his development and he could not really live up to the high expectations. Kakkonen
Kakkonen or II divisioona is the third level in the league system of Finnish football and comprises 36 Finnish football teams. The II divisioona was introduced in 1973 and in the mid-1990s became known as the Kakkonen (Finnish for 'Number Two'; sv, Tvåan). Sakari Tukiainen finished the season 2014 as the top goal scorer and setting a new league record with 40 goals for the Kakkonen. Petter Meyer finished the 2015 as the top goal scorer for GrIFK with 23 goals. The Finnish football league system is a series of interconnected leagues for club football in Finland. The three highest levels are managed by the Finnish FA while the other leagues are managed by the regional departments of the FA.
