The Public Ministry of Peru, also known as the Prosecutor's Office of Peru, is an autonomous entity of the Government of Peru that is responsible for enforcing law in Peru. Public Ministry Of Peru Building
The Building of the Ministry of Economy and Finance (Peru), Ministry of Finance and Commerce ( es, Edificio del Ministerio de Hacienda y Comercio) is one of the largest buildings located in Abancay Avenue in the historic centre of Lima. Surrounded by Jirón Santa Rosa, Santa Rosa, Jirón Cuzco, Cuzco and Ayacucho (formerly Urubamba) streets, it serves as the headquarters of the Public Ministry of Peru. History The building was built in 1952, during the government of Manuel Odría, and is the work of architect Guillermo Payet, who conceived the design according to the Modern architecture, modernist movement, occupying an entire block of Abancay Avenue, at the time of its widening. The tender for the construction of the building was awarded in December 1949 to the firm Gramonvel S. Abancay (from Quechua language: Hamanqay, Amanqay, or Amankay, meaning ''lily'') is a city in southern-central Peru. It is the capital of both the Apurímac Region and the Abancay Province, and serves an important cultural, economic, and political role in Apurímac.
