Project E.A.R.
Project E.A.R. (East Asian Revolution) is a supergroup of bands and artists from Southeast Asia. It is a collaboration of bands from five countries in Southeast Asia which include Ahli Fiqir from Singapore, Pop Shuvit from Malaysia, Saint Loco from Indonesia, Thaitanium and Silksounds both from Thailand and Slapshock of the Philippines. Also joining from Thailand is M.E.M. They debuted at MTV Asia 2008 where they performed their song "Marabahaya", which means "distress" in Malaysian and Indonesian. Collaborators * Singapore Ahli Fiqir represented Singapore with Daly as collaborating artist for the project. He introduced his fast and swift rapping music genre merging the art of rhyming in the Malay language with the modern hip hop beats. A supergroup is a musical group whose members are successful as solo artists or as members of other successful groups. The term became popular in the late 1960s when members of already successful rock groups recorded albums together, after which they normally disband. Ahli Fiqir
Ahli Fiqir was a Singaporean hip hop group consisting of Samsolnahar Sibengat (Tukang Kata), Fadali Mohd Darif (Daly Filsuf), Noor Hidayati Mohamed Yusop (Mawar Berduri) and Ceza Mutyara (DJ Cza). The group, whose career spanned 8 years and widely known in Singapore and Malaysia, known for preserving the Malay language into their music, and has several hit singles including "Samseng", "Angguk-Angguk, Geleng-Geleng", "Tik Tok Simpati", "2x5", "Dia Datang" and "Derita Merindu". Ahli Fiqir disbanded in 2010. Pop Shuvit (band)
Pop Shuvit is a Malaysian rap rock band. Comprising Moots! (MC), JD (vocals, guitar), AJ (bass guitar), Rudy (drums) and DJ Uno (vocals, DJ), the band who got its name from a skateboarding trick of almost the same name began making waves in the local music scene in late 2001 and since then, has had 5 successful releases under their belt and gained a sizeable fanbase in Asia notably in Malaysia, Japan, Thailand and Singapore. Thaitanium ( th, ไทยเทเนี่ยม) is a Thai American hip hop music group. Among the first of Thai rap artists, the group formed in 2000 by K.H. - Khanngoen "Khan" Nuanual, P. Slapshock
Slapshock was a Filipino heavy metal band from Metro Manila. They were formed in 1997, originally as a nu metal act, with their early musical style compared to that of Korn. They later shifted towards a metalcore style.
