Proekt (), also known as Agentstvo (), is an independent Russian media outlet specialising in investigative journalism. History and activities Since 2001, has worked for '' Gazeta.Ru'', ''Forbes'', Interfax, RBK and Dozhd as editor-in-chief. In 2017, he left to study journalism at Stanford University in California. In 2018, after graduating from his studies and returning to Russia, he decided to engage in investigative journalism in the format of an online media, which he had previously done. The project involved his colleagues at Dozhd (Maria Zholobova and Mikhail Rubin), as well as RBK. As of July 2018, ''Proekt'' had 10 employees and its initial budget was 500,000 dollars. Roman Sergeyevich Badanin (; born 1 January 1970) is a Russian journalist and researcher. He is the founder and editor in chief of the Proekt media outlet, former digital platform editor in chief of ''Forbes Russia'', former editor in chief of the Dozhd TV channel and the RBK news agency. He is a Senior JSK Fellow at Stanford University. Biography Badanin was born on 1 January 1970. He graduated from the Faculty of History, Moscow State University. Badanin was engaged in research activities at the Russian Academy of Sciences and the Gorbachev Foundation, a Russian think tank. In 1996, Badanin began to work at the ''Izvestia'' newspaper. OVD-Info
OVD-Info () is an independent Russian human rights media project aimed at combating political persecution. History OVD-Info was founded in December 2011 by Moscow journalist Grigory Okhotin and programmer Daniil Beilinson. They witnessed mass arrests of participants in the rally on December 5, 2011 against the rigging of parliamentary elections. First, they posted on Facebook the total number of detainees and their names. Seeing the demand for their work, by December 10, on the eve of the rally on Bolotnaya Square in Moscow, they launched the OVD-Info website. The name of the project comes from the abbreviation Department of Internal Affairs (). Since February 1, 2013, the main partner of the project is the Memorial Human Rights Center. The Wagner Group (russian: Группа Вагнера, Gruppa Vagnera), also known as PMC Wagner ( «Вагнер», ChVK «Vagner»; ), is a Russian paramilitary organization. LRT televizija, formerly known as LTV 1, is the flagship television channel of Lithuanian National Radio and Television (''Lithuanian:'' Lietuvos nacionalinis radijas ir televizija).
