William Hobson (born January 23, 1991), better known by the ring name Powerhouse Hobbs, is an American professional wrestler signed to All Elite Wrestling (AEW). Early life Hobson attended Sequoia High School in Redwood City, California, where he played football and other sports. As a youth, he attended professional wrestling events, including SuperBrawl VIII in the Cow Palace in San Francisco, California. Professional wrestling career Independent circuit (2009–2020) After graduating from high school, Hobson attended the All Pro Wrestling (APW) professional wrestling school in Hayward, California. He made his professional wrestling debut on July 18, 2009 at APW's "Gym Wars" event under the ring name "Will Rood". East Palo Alto (abbreviated E.P.A.) is a city in San Mateo County, California, United States. As of the 2020 census, the population of East Palo Alto was 30,034. APW Tag Team Championship
The APW Tag Team Championships were introduced on November 20, 1996, when Michael Modest and Steve Rizzono became the first to win the titles. They defeated Frank Dalton and Joe Applebaumer in the finals of an eight team tournament to win the titles. On December 14, 2011, All Pro Wrestling announced that they had come to terms with Vendetta Pro Wrestling to recognize the Vendetta Pro Tag-Team Championship, and to have them defended in both Vendetta Pro and in APW as the "Unified" Tag Team Titles. The titles were defended for the first time in APW on January 14, 2011, as champions Greg Hernandez and Jesse Jimenez defended against APW's team of Jody Kristofferson and Dalton Frost. The 2020 All Out was the second annual All Out professional wrestling pay-per-view (PPV) event produced by All Elite Wrestling (AEW). It took place during Labor Day weekend on September 5, 2020, at Daily's Place in Jacksonville, Florida.
