Post Proper Southside, Makati
Post Proper Southside, also known as Post Proper South or Barangay 31, is one of the barangays of Makati, a city in Metro Manila, Philippines. It consists the southern tip of Bonifacio Global City and its claimed territory is largely covered by the Manila American Cemetery. The area is largely under the de facto administration of neighboring city of Taguig, which claims the Fort Bonifacio area as its own territory. Geography The administrative division claims an area of and is the largest barangay of Makati in terms of land area. Most of the area is currently under the de facto jurisdiction of Taguig, under its barangays Fort Bonifacio, Western Bicutan, and Pinagsama. The remaining portion east of Circumferential Road 5 (C-5) is claimed by Taguig under its barangay Ususan and by Makati under its barangays Pembo and Rizal. A barangay (; abbreviated as Brgy. or Bgy.), historically referred to as barrio (abbreviated as Bo.), is the smallest administrative division in the Philippines and is the native Filipino term for a village, district, or ward. Makati ( ), officially the City of Makati ( fil, Lungsod ng Makati), is a 1st class highly urbanized city in the National Capital Region of the Philippines. Makati is the financial center of the Philippines; it has the highest concentration of multinational and local corporations in the country. Manila American Cemetery
The Manila American Cemetery and Memorial is located in Fort Bonifacio, Taguig, Metro Manila, within the boundaries of the former Fort William McKinley. It can be reached most easily from the city via EDSA to McKinley Road, then to McKinley Parkway inside the Bonifacio Global City. The Nichols Field Road is the easiest access from Manila International Airport to the cemetery. Fort Bonifacio Boundary Dispute
The Fort Bonifacio boundary dispute is a territorial disagreement between local governments in the Filipino cities of Makati and Taguig, and the municipality of Pateros. The dispute also includes the financial district of Bonifacio Global City (BGC). Taguig has administration over Bonifacio Global City and some territory to its south as part of Fort Bonifacio (barangay), Fort Bonifacio. Fort Bonifacio is one of the 28 barangays of Taguig, Metro Manila, Philippines. The financial district of Bonifacio Global City, the Fort Bonifacio military camp and the Manila American Cemetery are under the jurisdiction of the barangay.
