Port Caledonia, Nova Scotia
Port Caledonia (also known as Big Glace Bay) is a small community in the Canadian province of Nova Scotia, located in the Cape Breton Regional Municipality on Cape Breton Island. It is located on the Donkin Highway, between the town of Glace Bay and the village of Donkin. It currently has one gas station/convenience store as well as a public beach, known as the Big Glace Bay Beach. The community received media attention in 2011 when resident Shirley Sampson appeared on the reality television program ''Canada's Worst Driver 7'', ultimately being named the worst driver in Canada. Cape Breton Regional Municipality (often referred to as simply "CBRM") is the Canadian province of Nova Scotia's second largest municipality and the economic heart of Cape Breton Island. Glace Bay
Glace Bay (Scottish Gaelic: ''Glasbaidh'') is a community in the eastern part of the Cape Breton Regional Municipality in Nova Scotia, Canada. It forms part of the general area referred to as Industrial Cape Breton. Formerly an incorporated town (1901–1995), the municipal government in Glace Bay was dissolved and the community was amalgamated into the larger regional municipality. Donkin is a Canadian rural village with a population of 532 as of Canada 2021 Census, 2021. 2021 Canadian Census
The 2021 Canadian census was a detailed enumeration of the Canadian population with a reference date of May 11, 2021. It follows the 2016 Canadian census, which recorded a population of 35,151,728. The overall response rate was 98%, which is slightly lower than the response rate for the 2016 census. It recorded a population of 36,991,981, a 5.2% increase from 2016. Planning Consultation on census program content was from September 11 to December 8, 2017.
