Popstars – On Stage
''Popstars – On Stage'': On 14 June 2007, ProSieben started the sixth installment of the series, targeting to find the "Germany's hottest live act". This time not only male and female singers were cast but also dancers who should be part of the band. Dancers and singers were sent to Füssen and took part in workshops to improve their dancing and singing skills. Four weeks passed before the producers decided to audition additional contestants in the Netherlands. All the singers (including the new contestants) went to Prague, Czech Republic, while the dancers travelled to Brussels, Belgium for another so-called "Entscheidungsshow" (''"decision show"''). In October, singers and dancers reunited in a big mansion in Berlin. All contestants recorded the song "Never Give Up" that managed to reach #30 on the German singles chart. Room 2012 was a German pop quartet that originated in late 2007 on the sixth installment of the German talent show ''Popstars''. History Under the motto "Wir suchen den heißesten Live-Act Deutschlands" ("We're looking for Germany's hottest live act") ''Popstars'' returned with a sixth installment in the summer of 2007, this time searching for Germany's best live performers. Hopeful singers and dancers attended open television auditions in a couple of German cities, judged by choreographer and dancer Detlef "D!" Marusha
Marusha Aphrodite Gleiß (born 18 November 1966), known by her stage name Marusha, is a German-Greek electronic music disc jockey, producer and television presenter who had hits in the mid-1990s including her 1994 single " Somewhere Over the Rainbow". Career Marusha was born in Nuremberg. She started as a radio disc jockey in 1991 with her weekly show "Dancehall" on Berlin station DT64. When the station closed she moved to Fritz, another Berlin radio station, and presented a weekly slot called "Rave Satellite" until 2007. In 2007 she was also a member of the jury in the German version of Popstars. From 1993 to 1996 Marusha presented a television dance music show called "Feuerreiter" for regional broadcaster ORB, which later aired nationally via ARD. Scooter mentions Marusha in their 1994 song Hyper Hyper, during which lead singer H.P. Baxxter reads out the name of numerous DJs. Jane Comerford
Jane Comerford (born 1 January 1959 in Newcastle, Australia) is a singer, songwriter, lecturer, and vocal coach working in Germany. Education Jane has an extensive musical and music-related education. She studied violin and piano for 12 years, and later music theory, and graduated from Newcastle Conservatorium (where she was awarded her A.Mus.A. diploma). She had six years of classical ballet training in Newcastle as well as jazz dance training in Los Angeles. Further, she went on to study singing in Hamburg, Vienna and Amsterdam, as well as learned to play ukulele. Popstars Dance Company is a dance team from Germany. Each of its five members achieved individual success before joining in 2007. The Popstars Dance Company was also featured on '' Popstars Germany'' and was the winning band during the finale. Beginning In 2007 season of Popstars the producers were looking for a dancing group to support the singers on stage. Popstars Popstars Dance Company is a German dance group, that was cast in the sixth season of Popstars, simultaneously with the band Room2012. This is the first time where other talents were cast in Popstars. The dancers had to show innovative dance styles and perform together with the singers although they often had training without them. Monrose was a German pop girl group, first established in November 2006. Füssen is a town in Bavaria, Germany, in the district of Ostallgäu, situated one kilometre from the Austrian border.
