Polanco is a neighborhood in the Miguel Hidalgo borough of Mexico City. Polanco is an affluent '' colonia'', noted for its luxury shopping along Presidente Masaryk Avenue, the most expensive street in Mexico, as well as for the numerous prominent cultural institutions located within the neighborhood. Polanco Metro Station
Polanco () is a station of the Mexico City Metro in Miguel Hidalgo, Mexico City. It is an underground station with two side platforms served by Line 7 (the Orange Line) between San Joaquín and Auditorio stations. It serves the '' colonia'' (neighborhood) of Polanco and it is named after it; the pictogram depicts the clock tower located at the nearby Lincoln Park. Polanco station opened on 20 December 1984 with service northward toward Tacuba and southward toward Auditorio. In 2019, the station had an average daily ridership of 35,694 passengers, making it the 24th busiest station in the network and the third busiest of the line. The station is one of the deepest on the network and the facilities are partially accessible for people with disabilities. Polanco, officially the Municipality of Polanco ( ceb, Lungsod sa Polanco; Subanen: ''Benwa Polanco''; Chavacano: ''Municipalidad de Polanco''; tl, Bayan ng Polanco), is a 3rd class municipality in the province of Zamboanga del Norte, Philippines. Polanco Lift
The Polanco Lift is a passenger elevator located in Valparaíso, Chile. It consists of three stations and connects Simpson Street with Polanco Hill. This lift is the only "true" elevator in the city, as all others are technically funiculars. Today it is more visited by tourists than by the local residents. History Construction began in 1913 and concluded in 1915. Inaugurated in 1916, the lift was developed by engineer Federico Page with the assistance of the Easton Lift Company. It was declared a National Monument of Chile in 1976. Location The lift is located on Polanco Hill. The lower entrance is on Simpson Street. The first station is accessible through a tunnel. The lift then ascends to an intermediate station and continues its ascent to the final station at the top of the tower (approximately ), overlooking the entire city. San Gregorio De Polanco
San Gregorio de Polanco is a small city in the Tacuarembó Department of northern-central Uruguay. Geography The city is located on a peninsula on the north shore of the artificial Rincón del Bonete Lake and along Route 43, about south of the department capital city of Tacuarembó. Route 43 passes across the lake to Durazno Department by ferryboat. History It was founded on 27 November 1853. On 13 October 1963, its status was elevated to "Villa" (town) by the Act of Ley Nº 13.167, and then on 13 December 1994 to "Ciudad" (city) by the Act of Ley Nº 16.666. In 1945, the artificial lake of Rincon del Bonete hugely changed the landscape of this town, adding a water surface and, later, beaches. Polanco Palace
The Polanco Palace is a luxurious mansion located in the El Almendral neighborhood of the Chile, Chilean city of Valparaíso. It was built in 1903 by order of the Chilean merchant Benignus Polanco Humeres for residential use, and since 1942 it has been used by the Valparaíso Carabineros de Chile, Carabiniers prefecture. It is the only remnant of the palaces built in the city during the 19th century on Land reclamation, land reclaimed from the sea, during Valparaíso's economic and industrial boom. All the other palaces of that era located in El Almendral were destroyed by the 1906 Valparaíso earthquake.
