Plejboj
Plejboj ( sr-cyr, Плејбој; transliteration for ''Playboy'') is a Serbian rock band from Belgrade. History Formation, rise to prominence (1992-1993) The band was formed in 1992 by former Euforija and Presing members, bassist Roman Goršek, guitarist Igor Petrović and drummer Miladin Radivojević. They were soon joined by saxophonist Dušan Petrović, a former Duh Nibor and Deca Loših Muzičara member. Together they had their first public appearance at the Brzi Bendovi Srbije festival held at the Dom Omladine in Belgrade, where, performing with kitschy clothes, attractive musical style, wigs and on-stage dancers, the band had easily drawn the attention of the public to themselves. The following year, the band performed as a part of the Trinidad Trip band in the play ''Trinidad'' (''Trinidad'') which was directed in the BITEF theater by Milutin Petrović. Presing
Presing is a Serbian alternative rock band from Belgrade. Formed in 1990 and named after pressure defense in basketball (and some other team sports), Presing were, together with Darkwood Dub and Kanda, Kodža i Nebojša, representatives of the so-called ''NeoBeo'' sound, alternative, guitar-based rock music produced in Belgrade in early 1990s. New York Press wrote about Presing: "It's a sound that kicks the pants off the recycle-rock of The Strokes, The Vines and the White Stripes, just to name a few... Rare (Serbian Band)
Rare are a Serbian alternative rock band from Belgrade. History 2000s The band, formed in 1998 by Mirko Luković (vocals), Nemanja Subotić (guitar), Branislav Radojković (bass) and Dario Janošević (drums). Having won the Urban Demo festival in 2000, the band got the opportunity to record their debut studio album. The debut album ''Breathing'', released by both MCM and J.O.S. Virus independent record labels in 2002 and produced by Nikola Vranjković, brought sixteen songs, all of which, except the track "Ja sam taj koji čeka" ("I Am the One Who Is Waiting"), for which a promotional video had been recorded, featured the lyrics written in English language. Deca Loših Muzičara ( sr-cyr, Деца Лоших Музичара; transl. ''Bad Musicians' Children''), often abbreviated to DLM, are a funk rock band formed in Belgrade in 1988. They were one of the most prominent bands of the 1990s Serbian rock scene, gaining siginificant popularity as well as critical acclaim with their fast and furious but melodic funk rock sound, adorned with trumpet and saxophone lines. Eyesburn is a Serbian band that combines hardcore punk and crossover thrash with reggae music. History 1994–2007 The band was formed in 1994, and the original line-up featured former Dead Ideas guitarist Nemanja "Kojot" Kojić (guitar, backing vocals), who simultaneously worked as trombonist in Del Arno Band and bass guitarist in Sunshine, Nenad Živić (vocals), former Bloodbath member Aleksandar "Alek" Petrović (drums), former Urgh! member Vladimir "Laza" Lazić (bass guitar) and Aleksandar "Gile" Radulović. PGP-RTS ( sr, Produkcija gramofonskih ploča Radio televizije Srbije) is a major record label based in Belgrade, Serbia. It is a successor of PGP-RTB which was established in 1959 in Belgrade, then capital of Socialist Republic of Serbia and Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia. Mambo (music)
Mambo is a genre of Cuban dance music pioneered by the charanga Arcaño y sus Maravillas in the late 1930s and later popularized in the big band style by Pérez Prado. It originated as a syncopated form of the danzón, known as danzón-mambo, with a final, improvised section, which incorporated the ''guajeos'' typical of son cubano (also known as ''montunos''). These ''guajeos'' became the essence of the genre when it was played by big bands, which did not perform the traditional sections of the danzón and instead leaned towards swing and jazz. By the late 1940s and early 1950s, mambo had become a "dance craze" in the United States as its associated dance took over the East Coast thanks to Pérez Prado, Tito Puente, Tito Rodríguez and others. Belgrade Youth Center ( sr, Dom omladine Beograda; abbr. DOB) is a cultural center in Belgrade, the capital of Serbia, dedicated primarily to youth. History At the corner of the ''Dečanska'' and ''Makedonska'' streets, where the youth center is today, was the location of the ''kafana'' "Ginić". Slobodan "Boda" Ninković ( sr-Cyrl, Слободан "Бода" Нинковић; born 25 November 1956 in Smederevo) is a Serbian actor. He is known for his work in the films '' Ulysses' Gaze'', '' The Crusaders'' and ''We Are Not Angels''.
