Nathan Salsi (born June 12, 1981 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania) is an American soccer player who last played for the Pittsburgh Riverhounds in the USL Second Division. Minnesota Thunder was an American professional soccer team based in Minnesota, United States. Founded in 1990, the team played in the USL First Division (USL-1), the second tier of the American Soccer Pyramid, until 2009. Thiago Martins (born 4 September 1976) is a retired Brazilian footballer who played professionally in the United States and Norway. Early life and education Martins was born on the east side of São Paulo, Brazil, and came to the United States in 1996. He landed in Los Angeles, at 19 years old and with little money. He eventually made his way to Santa Barbara, California, where he slept in hotels until his money ran out. He had to resort to sleeping on the beach. Fortunately he awoke one morning to a group of people playing soccer on the beach and joined them. One of the players took Martins into their home, even though Martins spoke little English or Spanish and they spoke no Portuguese. Richard Hunter Gilstrap, Jr. (born April 17, 1983 in Asheville, North Carolina) is an American retired soccer player. He played professionally in the Us and Africa. He most recently served as the goalkeeping coach for USL Championship club Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC, who he played with for six years. The Charleston Battery are an American professional association football, soccer club based in Charleston, South Carolina, and member of the USL Championship. Justin Evans (born January 31, 1977) is an American soccer coach and former professional player. Playing career Professional After graduating from college, Evans signed for the newly formed Pittsburgh Riverhounds in 1999, becoming the team's #1 draft pick and first player. He also spent time that season in Poland playing in the first division for Petro Płock. In February 2000, the San Jose Earthquakes selected Evans in the second round of the 2000 MLS SuperDraft. The Earthquakes released him mid-season and Evans returned to the Riverhounds. However, he was called up to the Chicago Fire for several games that season.
