Pieter Muller
Pieter Gysbert Muller (born 5 May 1969) is a former international South Africa national rugby union team, South Africa rugby union player. A Centre (rugby union), centre, he was known for his strength and direct running. Rugby union career As a schoolboy, Muller represented Free State Cheetahs, Free State at the Craven Week tournaments in 1987 and 1988 and on both occasions were selected for the South Africa national under-18 rugby union team, SA Schools team. He made his provincial debut for Free State in 1990, after spending some time playing club rugby in Ireland for Greystones R.F.C. In 1992, Muller joined Sharks (Currie Cup), Natal and was a member of the Currie Cup winning team in 1992 Currie Cup, 1992. He suffered a serious neck injury early in 1995 that required time away from rugby, after which he tried rugby league and spent time in France playing for Stade Toulousain, Toulouse. The South Africa national rugby union team, commonly known as the Springboks (colloquially the Boks, Bokke or Amabokoboko), is the country's national team governed by the South African Rugby Union. The Stade de Gerland (known for sponsorship reasons as Matmut Stadium de Gerland and otherwise known as Municipal de Gerland or Stade Gerland ) is a stadium in the city of Lyon, France, which serves as home to Top 14 rugby club Lyon OU. 1999 Rugby World Cup
The 1999 Rugby World Cup was the fourth Rugby World Cup, the quadrennial international rugby union championship. It was principally hosted by Wales, and was won by Australia. This was the first Rugby World Cup to be held in the sport's professional era. Although the majority of matches were played outside Wales (shared between England, France, Scotland and Ireland) the opening ceremony, the first match and the final were held in Cardiff.
