Piecki, Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship
Piecki (german: Peitschendorf) is a village in Mrągowo County, Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship, in north-eastern Poland. It is the seat of the gmina (administrative district) called Gmina Piecki. It lies approximately south of Mrągowo and east of the regional capital Olsztyn. It is located in Masuria. The village has a population of 2,610. History The origins of the village date back to 1401, when Piecio (Piecek) from Muszaki and Jakusz from Radomino were granted 45 and 15 włókas of land, respectively, to establish a village. Natalia Nykiel (born 8 February 1995) is a Polish singer and songwriter. She began her career in 2013, finishing in fourth place on season two of ''The Voice of Poland''. Afterwards, she signed a record deal with Universal Music Polska, and released her debut studio album ''Lupus Electro'' (2014). The album's second single "Bądź duży" has been certified diamond by the Polish Society of the Phonographic Industry and established Nykiel as a household name in Poland. Volok ( lt, valakas, pl, włóka) was a late medieval unit of land measurement in the Grand Duchy of Lithuania, Kingdom of Poland and later, the Polish–Lithuanian Commonwealth. Mrągowo
Mrągowo (until 1947 pl, Ządźbork ; ) is a resort town in the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship of northeastern Poland, with 21,889 inhabitants (2019).
