Phu Sing District
Phu Sing ( th, ภูสิงห์, ) is a district (''amphoe'') in the southwestern part of Sisaket province, northeastern Thailand. History The minor district ('' king amphoe'') was created on 1 April 1991, when the six ''tambons'' Khok Tan, Huai Ta Mon, Huai Tuekchu, Lalom, Takhian Ram, and Dong Rak were split off from Khunkhan district. It was upgraded to a full district on 8 September 1995. Geography The district is bounded in the south by the Dangrek Range. Neighboring districts are (from the west clockwise): Buachet of Surin province, Khukhan, and Khun Han of Sisaket Province, and Oddar Meancheay of Cambodia. Administration The district is divided into seven sub-districts ('' tambons''), which are further subdivided into 85 villages (''mubans''). Thesaban
Thesaban ( th, เทศบาล, , ) are the municipalities of Thailand. There are three levels of municipalities: city, town, and sub-district. Bangkok and Pattaya are special municipal entities not included in the ''thesaban'' system. The municipalities assume some of the responsibilities which are assigned to the districts (''amphoe'') or communes (''tambon'') for non-municipal (rural) areas. Muban
Muban ( th, หมู่บ้าน; , ) is the lowest administrative sub-division of Thailand. Usually translated as 'village' and sometimes as 'hamlet', they are a subdivision of a tambon (subdistrict). , there were 74,944 administrative mubans in Thailand. As of the 1990 census, the average village consisted of 144 households or 746 persons. Nomenclature ''Muban'' may function as one word, in the sense of a hamlet or village, and as such may be shortened to ''ban''. ''Tambon'' ( th, ตำบล, ) is a local governmental unit in Thailand. Below district (''amphoe'') and province (''changwat''), they form the third administrative subdivision level. there were 7,255 tambons, not including the 180 ''khwaeng'' of Bangkok, which are set at the same administrative level, thus every district contains eight to ten tambon.
