Phil Rajzman
Phil Rajzman (born Philip Wollens Rajzman on 27 June 1982 in Rio de Janeiro) is a Brazilian professional surfer and two time World Surf League (WSL) world champion. As a disciple of one of the pioneers in Brazilian surfing, Rico de Souza, Rajzman began catching waves at six years old and was recognized as a prodigy in Brazilian surfing. He has been consistently present on podiums since 1994, when he started competing. At the age of 15 Rajzman became a known figure, with his great performances on giant waves in Hawaii. He was invited to join the first Brazilian Tow-In Team, where the surfer is pulled by a jet-ski, searching for the biggest and best waves possible. In 2002, Rajzman participated in the documentary film ''Surf Adventures'', including a sequence of his maneuvers at Fernando de Noronha. Rio De Janeiro (city)

World Surf League
The World Surf League (WSL) is the governing body for professional surfers and is dedicated to showcasing the world's best talent in a variety of progressive formats. The World Surf League was originally known as the International Professional Surfing founded by Fred Hemmings and Randy Rarick in 1976. IPS created the first world circuit of pro surfing events. In 1983 the Association of Surfing Pros took over management of the world circuit. In 2013, the ASP was acquired by ZoSea, backed by Paul Speaker, Terry Hardy, and Dirk Ziff. Surfing
Surfing is a surface water sport in which an individual, a surfer (or two in tandem surfing), uses a board to ride on the forward section, or face, of a moving wave of water, which usually carries the surfer towards the shore. Waves suitable for surfing are primarily found on ocean shores, but can also be found in standing waves in the open ocean, in lakes, in rivers in the form of a tidal bore, or in wave pools. The term ''surfing'' refers to a person riding a wave using a board, regardless of the stance. There are several types of boards. Fernando De Noronha
Fernando de Noronha () is an archipelago in the Atlantic Ocean, part of the State of Pernambuco, Brazil, and located off the Brazilian coast. It consists of 21 islands and islets, extending over an area of . Only the eponymous main island is inhabited; it has an area of and a population estimated at 3,101 in 2020. While the archipelago is relatively low-lying, there are parts stretching above in elevation. The islands are administratively unique in Brazil. Bernard Rajzman
Bernard Rajzman (born April 25, 1957) is a former Brazilian volleyball player. He was born in Rio de Janeiro. He was enshrined in the Volleyball Hall of Fame in 2005. Nowadays, Bernard is a member of the International Olympic Committee (IOC). Rajzman began his sports career at the age of 11, playing basketball for Fluminense, but traded the sport for volleyball because he was too short. At the age of 17 he entered the Brazil men's national volleyball team, for which he played in three Olympics, winning a silver medal in Los Angeles 1984. He also won seven South American Championships, one gold medal at the 1983 Pan-American Games, silver in the 1982 FIVB Men's World Championship and bronze in the 1981 Volleyball World Cup. Brazilian Jews
The history of the Jews in Brazil begins during the settlement of Europeans in the new world. Although only baptized Christians were subject to the Inquisition, Jews started settling in Brazil when the Inquisition reached Portugal, in the 16th century. They arrived in Brazil during the period of Dutch rule, setting up in Recife the first synagogue in the Americas, the Kahal Zur Israel Synagogue, as early as 1636.
