Peyman Soltani
Peyman Soltani ( fa, پیمان سلطانی, ''Peymân Soltâni''; born 17 January 1971 in Iran) is a Persian composer, orchestra conductor, instrumentalist and critic. He is currently living in Tehran. Life He started learning music and painting in workshops of national TV and Radio of Iran and also in the free classes offered by the Ministry of Culture and Arts in 1977. He began his primary education in Aryamehr School in Kerman in 1979. At 16 years of age, he came to Tehran to study graphics. Then he went to Armenia to continue his graduate studies in music composition. Music has always been the pillar of his life. He started playing musical instruments in a self-taught manner, then, continued played under the supervision of some famous Iranian masters such as Emmanuel Melik Aslānian, Farāmarz Pāyvar, Dr. Mohammad Taghi Massoudieh and Farhad Fakhreddini as well as some European and Armenian professors like Thomas Christian David and Yuri Davytyān. Tabriz

Sorna
The sornā or sornāy ( fa, سُرنای، سُرنا, also ''surnā'', ''surnāy'' and also ''Zurna'') is an ancient Iranian woodwind instrument. Etymology The word ''sorna'' is a Pahlavi derivative of sūrnāy (literally "strong flute"), which is a compand of 'sūr-' (strong) and '-nāy' (flute).MacKenzie, D. N., ''A Concise Pahlavi Dictionary'', London (1971), p. 78 . Possibly it was called "strong flute" due to its double-reed-construction rather than usual '' nāy'', which was made of a single tube of cane. Also it is suggested that the first part of word of ''sorna'', is from ''sūr-'' again from Pahlavi and New-Persian, meaning the "banquet, meal and feast", thus the "banquet-flute". It is also suggested that "Sorna" is a cognate of "Horn", as "Sorna" simply means horn. This is a result of the Centum-Satem isogloss, and later Grimm's Law. Thomas Christian David
Thomas Christian David (22 December 1925 – 19 January 2006) was an Austrian composer, Conducting, conductor, choral conductor, and Flute, flutist. David was born in Wels, Upper Austria in 1925. He moved to Germany in 1934 at the age of nine with his father, composer Johann Nepomuk David, and mother. Thomas's younger brother, Lukas David, (born 1934) later became a violinist. Farhad Fakhreddini
Farhad Fakhreddini ( fa, فرهاد فخرالدینی; born 11 March 1938 in Tabriz, East Azerbaijan) is a renowned Iranian composer, conductor and founder of Iran’s National Orchestra. He led Iran's Radio and Television Orchestra from 1973 to 1979. Fakhreddini has composed music for some of Fereydoon Moshiri's poetry. Fakhreddini was awarded the 1st Class Order of Culture and Art by the Iranian government in June 2005. In July 2008, a stamp was issued in his honour.
