Peugeot 301 (2012)
The Peugeot 301 is a subcompact (B-segment) sedan produced by the French automaker Peugeot since 2012. It was announced to the public in May 2012, with an official launch that took place at the Paris Motor Show in September. The 301 is built at Peugeot's Vigo plant in Spain, alongside its twin Citroën C-Elysée, and has been manufactured in China since November 2013. It is also assembled as a CKD in other markets such as Kazakhstan and Nigeria. Sales of the 301 commenced in November 2012, initially in Turkey, and later in other markets in Western Asia (Taiwan since 2016), Africa, Latin America, Central Europe, Eastern Europe and Greece. Designed specifically for emerging markets, the 301 is not sold in core Western European markets (with the exception of French Overseas Departments/Regions and Collectivities) or RHD markets. Peugeot (, , ) is a French automobile brand owned by Stellantis. The family business that preceded the current Peugeot companies was established in 1810, making it the oldest car company in the world. On 20 November 1858, Émile Peugeot applied for the lion trademark. Armand Peugeot (1849–1915) built the company's first vehicle, a Steam car, steam-powered tricycle. PSA HDi Engine
The PSA Group sells a variety of diesel automobile engines with the HDi (high-pressure direct injection) designation. Earlier versions were exclusive to Peugeot and Citroën. In 1998, PSA entered into a joint venture with the Ford Motor Company to produce a range of new diesel engines. The joint venture makes identical engines which are fitted to a variety of vehicles from a range of car manufacturers. The engines are assembled in production plants in the cities of Trémery and Douvrin for PSA in France, at the Ford Dagenham plant in the UK, and Volvo Engine Plant in Skövde Sweden when Volvo was still under Ford ownership. Half of the group's vehicles are fitted with an HDi diesel engine: in 2007 this amounted to approximately 1.8 million vehicles. The DLD is the name for an automobile engine family – a group of compact Straight-four engine, inline-four Diesel engines, involving development by Ford of Britain and/or PSA Group (Peugeot and Citroën), and also Mazda where it is called the MZ-CD or CiTD. PSA TU Engine
The TU family of small Straight-four engine, inline-four Reciprocating engine, piston engines by PSA Peugeot Citroën were introduced in 1986 and used in the Peugeot and Citroën range of cars. A straight-three engine (also called an inline-triple or inline-three) is a three-cylinder piston engine where cylinders are arranged in a line along a common crankshaft. Less common than straight-four engine, straight-three engines have nonetheless been used in various motorcycles, cars and agricultural machinery.
